The food was quite tasty, price is reasonable and the staff are nice. This is the ideal place to go as a group of up to 9 people. You get your own cubicle area and the waiters really only show up a couple times. You get to have this interesting bonding experience where you all share the food and you're down to earth.

The whole dining experience was fabulous! We arrived much earlier than our reservation but the chef and server were very accommodating and welcoming. The hummus, red lentil soup, and main dish were all very delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy. Highly recommend for a date night!

They have a table d'hôte where you have a soup, a couscous (where you chose between vegetarian, chicken, beef or a taster with all of them.) and mint tea. All couscous flavours are delicious but my favourite was the beef one. It's BYOW even though it doesn't say anywhere on the website. The ambiance is really cool, make sure you wear socks without holes because you need to take you shoes off to sit down to eat at the 'tent looking' area.

I was excited to try this restaurant given all the positive reviews but I was super disappointed. It definitely wasn’t for lack of hospitality as the owner was warm and inviting. But the food was bland, lacked selection (there’s only 3 options; chicken, beef and vegetarian accompanied by A LOT of couscous. Menu online is not what’s available!) and overall questionable cleanliness. (Food was stuck on the utensils and I witnessed the waiter reuse a plate from a previous diner who had their pita on it and set the plate again for the next guest). I begrudgingly paid my $25 even though I didn’t eat a thing and went up a few blocks to Rumi for a great feast.

Very friendly staff and environment. The seating arrangement felt very authentic. Ordering process was very simple. Only complaint was that the platter was about 70% couscous. The meat and vegetables we had were amazing. However after a few bites you are left eating just couscous. Would have been happier to have an overall smaller portion with more meat and vegetables.

Went the first time for a Valentine’s Day dinner. Incredible table d’hôte, passionate friendly staff and a great environment. Food is out of this world and while it is a massive serving it’s so good I could probably eat two! Parking nearby is a lot easier than I expected which is a plus given the plateau at times.

This was an amazing experience ! The chef and staff are incredibly nice, polite and quick ! Impeccable service. The food is just too notch ; really feels like a home cooked meal mixed with some high-end twists. Highly highly recommend.

Was not a fan of the barefoot owner with his feet literally about a foot from my food, since the table is situated about a foot to 18 inches off the floor. Nor of having to take off my own shoes at a restaurant where hundreds of strangers are walking every week. Also, the food was ok, but not nearly enough (nor of good enough quality) for the $25 per person cost. There is no menu, you can only have couscous with only a little bit of either beef, chicken, or vegetables on top. And I stress, a little bit. I only give it two stars because the owner/manager was very nice, as were the other staff. So, if you like mostly couscous at an exorbitant price while enduring very uncomfortable seating, this is the place for you.

L'ambiance culturelle, colorée et enchanteresse a énormément plu à nos 4 enfants ! Le service y est impeccable, la nourriture tout-à-fait délicieuse et le prix très honnête. Nous avons adorés notre souper et y retournerons définitivement !

The food here is absolutely amazing! The owner is super friendly and makes the entire experience worth it. My favorite part is there is the vegan option that includes a delicious lentil soup, hummus, and vegetables on rice that tastes absolutely delicious. Makes me want to stay longer in Montreal.
