Very tasty béchamel-based Spanish croquettes with various fillings. They are amazing, though I would recommend them more as a (premium priced) snack or appetizer/hors d'œuvre paired nicely with wine than a full meal.Owner is super friendly and talkative (in a good way!) Ingredients are sourced locally or from small distributors, which is a visible source of pride for the owner ;)Also try their drinks, their cold brew is absolutely delicious. You also get 2$ refunded if you bring back the glass jar to the store.
Charismatic owner, who really understands good food and good service. I went in for just a few croquetas just before closing time, and was still greeted warmly. The owner even offered me some of his special fermented lemonade to taste (so delicious!), which I ended up buying a well. The croquetas exceeded my already high expectations - so creamy and full of flavor! Support local!!
It was an extraordinary experience! Our first visit in Montreal couldn't be better! The croquetes are really amazing, and the Spanish gentlemen and the Cuban lady are extremely friendly and polite! Must go there!
Finally gave this place a try after walking by it on several occasions and I’m glad that I did! The woman at the counter, possibly one of the owners, was super sweet and inviting! She gave us some great recommendations and they were all delicious! My favorite was the jamon Serrano. These croquetas would definitely be a hit the next time we can have a family gathering!
If you’re looking for food near Jeanne-Mance park, this is real treat. These Spanish croquettes come in a big range of fillings, from traditional Mediterranean to smoked meat, seafood, vegetarian and even dessert options! Delicious finger food to accompany any park picnic, date, or stroll through the Plateau. The restaurant is right at the corner of Parc Jeanne-Mance, walking distance from the mountain and the shops along Mont-Royal. And if you’re not in the area, well, you can get them delivered too. Super fun food idea that I keep going back to!
Pros: The owner is friendly and seems like a nice guy.Cons: No matter what flavour you choose the texture is always the same (like potato pudding). Also, you'd expect pollo to actually have some chicken in it, the jamon to have some ham in it etc... but there's just enough of it to give flavour to the runny potato pudding. The worst part is the portion size for the price. These are two bites croquettes, 12 of those fit in a very small box. It's a snack, not a meal.12 to 15$ would be honest but 30$ !! It's just not worth it.
Merci! ??✨
Best place in town!!!!so good!
They have a lot of croquetas and they are delicious. You just have to staying cool and not buy too much, or your pocket will feel the danger. ?
Unique, heartwarming and filling. Thank you for the free kumbucha taster, it was really special, I’ll bring my bottle next time. I’m so happy I discovered your resto. I found the cheese ones a bit heavy and all very similar so I’d recommend the seafood. The squid ones were very fun. I’m not much of a meat eater but the oxtail one was amazing and chicken one was good.
