Probably the best dining experience we had on our trip. The place just oozes history and coziness and it has rather unique decor. Seems to be run by the family still. The waiter was super friendly and as were quite late with our lunch he also chatted a lot with use about the food and about how the food was very similar to Finland (pea soup, meatballs, meat pie even). The prices were reasonable and the whole experience was just very good.

Absolutely a authentic québécois flavor! The resto is some cozy and the food tastes great. In addition, the nice grandpa offers great service. What a great experience! The only pity is that old papa misunderstood me as Japanese, lol

I didn't know what to expect, but I was curious about Quebecois food. The restaurant is quite spacious and our waiter was very friendly. I tried their recommended meal that includes meatballs, mashed potatoes, veggies, and much more. The beans at this restaurant are fantastic as they cooked in pork fat. Definitely a great dining experience!

Delicious food! Went for the first time and definitely NOT the last. I plan to bring family here later this month. The staff that I encountered were perfectly bilingual and all super friendly. A great variety on the menu of classic breakfasts and more outgoing, like with blood pudding (as pictured).A real gem to visit.

This isn't the nicest restaurant in the world but it it executes what it is very well. This was our first dining out experience in Montreal and our server JP was very helpful in explaining everything and the dishes.Food was pretty good and very fair pricing. Service and food was very quick as well. Thanks to JP for being so nice!

We came here from a website that rated it quebecs best brunch and we’re not disappointed! The owner was very excited to talk about the food (which was amazing) and really kind from when we got there to when we left.

I loved this place! We went for dinner after a long day and it had a super cozy vibe which was perfect to unwind. The waiter was very friendly and kind. I got the traditional Quebec meal and it was a nice hearty comfort meal. The food was pretty simple but well seasoned and also came with a bowl of lentil soup.

Nice interior decoration and friendly staff. We tried the traditional Quebec platter and classic shepherd pie. The meatballs comes in the platter are tasty and aromatic. The meat pie in the platter tastes good, better than the shepherds pie. The shepherds pie is a bit dry. If you’re looking for something with traditional Quebec flavors, you may want to give this place a try.

I am seriously thinking about taking an apartment next door! We stopped to get their famous Tourtiere (Canadian meat pie) to take home and decided to stay for counter service. Breakfast and lunch menus available at noon on Sunday. Bright, cheery atmosphere. Very clean and spacious. Not overly noisy and the counter service wasn't cramped. Friendly, attentive staff. Food was delicious. Canadian comfort food, meat & potatoes fare. Large portions and all yummy.

Tasty delicious brunches, nice staff, nice decor. definitely should try the beans, and the dessert.
