Second time cause it’s good. It’s always a little chaotic because there is tons of people crowded outside so you have to know if you’re trying to sit inside and eat there or order takeout and so we talked to a lot of people in the crowd to figure out what was happening. The poutine is a lot—even the regular size. Strongly recommend La Royale for a sweet apple flavor and La Fred Caillou for a meat fest.
The best poutine place in montreal .Open 24 hrs ?One regular size poutine is good enough 2-3 people to be honest .We got two of them and could not even finish half of it .All the poutine items they have in the menu is great . Do not replace the cheese curd at all . Its the OG and is the best .Highly recommend this place but keep a gym membership handy if you plan to be a regular here
A lovely place to enjoy some solid poutine options for lunch. Had the original poutine with pulled pork add-on, and the La Couvre Feu, regular size which was filling enough to split between the 4 of us. It took a little longer than expected for the food to arrive, but tasted great in the end when it did. I would come back to try some more of the many poutine flavours available!

I must say, I visited this location as a tourist. My opinions may vary from the locals but I found the poutine delicious. The portions are very generous, and each part of the poutine is made well. The gravy is flavourful and not too salty. The cheese curds squeak delightfully. Interestingly enough, the fries are unsalted. I liked it though, because it prevented the whole situation from becoming too salty. Someday, if I come back to Montreal I’ll visit again. They’ve got enough menu options to try a new type each time.
Unique poutines. Open 24 hours, so you can go at any time. They have a terrasse outside, but you cannot have alcohol outside. If you want a beer, you need to stay inside.

Best damn experience I've had in Montreal. Where do I begin.....I didn't even mind standing outside in the frigid cold, in a long line of about 50 of my new intoxicated friends at 2am and in 20 degree weather. Well worth it. In Philadelphia, USA we stand in long lines for cheesesteaks, Montreal, ? you go to La Banquise at 2, 3, 4 am and this place is still packed. Great food, great fun! So many choices of poutine!!! Love it!!!!!!!
