Fabulous and charming restaurant in the heart (and most touristy part) of old town. Loved the food and service. Chose a delightful vegetarian pasta dish off the daily menu board and appreciated the included salad from the salad bar, with a glass of the recommended Chablis, and left very satiated.

We waited over 30 minutes, The place is nice with the atmosphere but the food was okay, not super as I expected, The kitchen didn't take care of the garnish and plates finishing!, The salad bar was very basic nothing special!

pasta was good but nothing exceptional. the pictures definitely make it look better than it was. the salad bar is a nice touch though! the circled ones on the menu are the vegetarian options (#1, 2, 7, 10, 17).

Very busy place. Line up outside. Aprox 45 min wait on a wed eve. Nice atmosphere. Fairly extensive menu. A Lot of choices. Food was good. Not great but good. Downside of our experience was our waitress was very inattentive to us. We had to chase and ask for everything. Seemed to be in a rush to serve others before us. Felt like we were dumped into her section. She was polite and smiled but never showed any interest at all in our needs. For that a solid thumbs down. Would i eat here again……yes….but with a but….No i wont if i have to wait in line. Level of service not worth my money and time. Sorry.

Absolutely amazing food. If you’re a pasta lover this place is for you A++++

Waited half an hour on a Sunday night to eat here. Still not sure why it was that long — probably the kitchen, waited around 20 minutes for our entrees. Still, was delicious. All of our pasta had a wonderful bite and flavour. Recommended (but maybe on a weekday if you can swing it - we went by again on Monday night at the same time, 7pm, and crickets)!!

We were visiting Montreal for the first time and had been spending the day at the Old Port. Around 4:30pm we were getting hungry as we didn’t eat lunch (just had packed snacks for the busy day) and we took little stroll through Place Jacques-Cartiers and selected L’Usine de Spaghetti for dinner. There was no wait at this time of day on a weekday in the summer. They brought a huge basket of fresh buns and we had some veggies from the salad bar before they brought out our orders. Kids had spaghetti and giant meatballs and loved it. I had the goat cheese ravioli and would definitely order it again. The service was very good. Not an inexpensive dinner ($150 for family of four with meals, drinks, taxes and tip) but average price we are finding and everyone enjoyed it.

we tried l'usine today , and what a find it was, right in the heart of old port, very beautiful restaurant , the rustic look gives it a charm . Party of 4 and everyone loved the food, no one complained , great service , our waitress very attentive and always smiling, very good portions, great salad bar but they could add a few more dressings (only had 2 ) and kids menu only for 9 years and under, they could move it up to 12... my daughter 11 had to order from the menu and didn't even finish half , waste of food ! But those were the only 2 smalls negatives, for the rest can't complain AND will definitely return in the near future. hope this was helpful regards stud

Excellent tasty foods and great service by Alison???

Great place. The restaurant has a nice and cozy vibe and the staff were very friendly. We ordered 4 different pastas and everyone loved their meal. The salad bar was a very nice touch. Will definitely return.
