THE PLACE TO BE for Vietnamese sandwiches! They have few branches too.I tried many different kinds including grilled chicken, vegetarian tofu with curry sauce, the classic... Etc. Never had I been disappointed. They also sell other Vietnamese light meals too, including spring rolls. Also they have packaged Vietnamese grocery as well. A great place when you want to eat something on the go, while walking in old Montréal or Chinatown.

Boy do I have a solution for you.Hoang Oanh Sandwich is a small shop that serves sandwiches for a very very low price! They hit the spot both in the stomach and the wallet. Their classic banh mi is $5 (tax included) and it comes with pate, mayo, some Vietnamese cold cuts, pickled daikon and carrots, cilantro and I always ask for extra chili peppers (I love my spice!).Their banh mi are the most affordable on the island, and they are generous with their portions. The baguette is nice and fresh too.They only take cash, so keep that in mind when you come here. They offer a rewards card where you get your 11th banh mi for free!I love coming here, you won't regret it!

I've been coming here for banh mi sandwiches for as long years. Consistently great banh mi. More importantly for me, however, are their excellent goi coun (spring rolls). Generous, fresh, filling, and delicious.

Fast clean for Vietnamese sandwiches taste okay good price
The real thing regarding Banh Mi (the wonderful cultural Mix between Asia and France that is the Vietnamese sandwich made with a french baguette style bread filled with liver pate, mayo, ham, pickled vegetables, green onion, and coriander). This tiny place is always packed with locals and members of the Vietnamese community. There is only room to create a short line of costumer, order the food and go. They have a great variety of other dishes that you should try, like the spring rolls and the desserts. They offer a membership card to obtain free sandwiches. It is better to order them by the dozen, like two of each type (I love their specials: pork, beef and chicken). Cash only!
Mold on dessert! The taste of the ban da lon when we bought it back home was bad,it was stale and hard,not chewy. Upon closer inspection, we saw mold.. this is unacceptable for a restaurant. we come here often for the sandwiches and we are disappointed that their dessert is clearly not fresh and probably left in their fridge for many days.
