Great friendly service, amazing seafood tower. Fresh and delicious! Great wine parings too.Went here for dinner, fun and casual atmosphere, but still dark and intimate. Servers suggested great cocktails, and wine pairings. Had the seafood tower, scallops, sweetbread, octopus, lobster ravioli. Was all delicious! Would definitely return for a another visit. The location is slightly hard to find in Old Montreal, with a small sign off the street. Recommend getting a reservation.
Epic! The Chef’s Menu is an experience of flavours and textures coming together to make for a delectable treat. The seafood platter, the octopus, the radicchio, the Arctic char, the chocolate dessert and more — each plated with style and pride. The expertise of the Chef and the fabulous energy of the team was matched by the professional and hospitable service, great music and vibe. Our long awaited trip to this beautiful city and this incredible restaurant will not be our last! Merci!! A kiss to the Chef!!
Quelle belle expérience culinaire, extraordinaire !
Oh my goodness, this place is truly amazing. Expensive but worth every penny. Loved not only the food and drinks but atmosphere and service too! My friend and I agreed it was the highlight of our trip to Montreal. Our favourite and must-have has to be the beef cheeks and the cauliflower scallop dishes. My heart still dreams of it… Please do yourself a favour and order it. Reservations recommended.
Garde Manger never disappoints! excellent service and fantastic food ? thank you to Jihane for making our evening that more special ?
We decided to take in a show and visit this restaurant at the same time. Although I reserved a few weeks in advance we were only able to get seats at the bar, which turned in to be a plus, as we shared our very professional waiter/barman with about half a dozen other people. We started with a smoked salmon dish, which was more of a gravlax, that disappointed my wife slightly, but only the time it took to bring on the chicken croquettes. I had a sumptuous artic char, served on a warn potato salad, and both of our deserts were to die for. We must return and will request a place at the bar. Hopefully the same Italian gentleman from Coaticook will be there to serve us.
Visited this restaurant with a friend. From the service, to the ambience, to the food, this restaurant does not disappoint! Our waiter was very attentive, when I wasn’t sure which cocktail to order, he asked what type of drinks I generally like, and asked if there were any alcoholic beverages that I didn’t like. He came back with an enjoyable cocktail. My friends and I loved out appetizers and main course, everything was delicious. All in all, this place has a great vibe - Would love to come back again!
Have you ever been in the middle of a meal & thought 'I'm going to remember this meal & think about it often'? Well that was exactly what happened on our visit to Garde Manger. The atmosphere is warm & cozy. We ordered a bottle of wine that was recommended to us & it was great. We started with the razor clams that were out of this world good. We only ordered two because we wanted to try a variety of things but they were so good. Next we had the foie gra because neither of us had had it before & we did the cordon bleu croquettes. Both of these were good but not match to the razor clams or the next course which were the scallops. I would have never thought to add potato chips to these but, whoa what a special touch. These were amazing. For dessert we got the coffee cake & ice cream and I would fly back this weekend just for that. SO YUMMY! The waiter tried to get us to do the chefs menu but we were hesitant. Next time I think we would try it because this was such a great meal!
Terrific meals. Duck and coffee cake were a hit!
Absolutely amazing experience! The food and service were exceptional, highly recommend for any occasion - get the chef's dinner!!
