I normally like Frite Alors, but this is probably the worst location I have ever been.First off, it's extremely outdated. The furniture is used to the core, dirty and not inviting. Add to that, flickering lights and you're ready for a seizure as you wait for your food.As for the service, they are kind, but slow and forgetful. We had to remind them several times of our choices and wait roughly 20 min just to get our beverages in an empty restaurant....The food was standard. Similar to the rest of the chain, but it did taste like the oil in the fryer needed to be changed.If you are thinking of going, do yourself a favor and walk a few streets down to the location on St-Denis.
I probably did more take outs than dining in. It’s good here with a large selection in the menu.
Two stars for the lovely staff but for other elements no way!! I really dont understand why I paid 18$ for one mergez and large fries … nothing special by the Fries … this store should be a negative image about Belgium real fries! I was excited to try it after 2 years living in Montreal… i am really disappointed! The place doesn’t look like the pictures, the owners really dont care about his place.. too sad because the area is full of art and happy people !! I suppose he s not motivated from the pendemic and the increase rules from the gov… but this place should not be open also!!! Degeeuuuulassee
First visit of many more to come. Love the burger combination of the frite alors burger.. also the sauce was great and not as spicy as was anticipating. The chicken sandwich was also a hit! Availability of beer and wine was a plus. Great service .
Very nice atmosphere and so yummy burgers and good staff I recommend every one to give it a try ?
Lots of poutine options. The fries are a good consistency. Got the Mexican poutine which added nice flavor to the original.
I used to be a great fan of Frites Alors - for about 20 years. My last experiences at the Rachel location were average so I decided to try the St-Laurent location in take-out. My default burger is the Royal de Charlevoix which is supposed to be made with pasture meat from Charlevoix with extra cheese.What they gave me is hard to describe…1- no extra cheese, actually less than the normal portion at Rachel2- the meat was so overcooked that it looked like a left over that sat on the stove for a day3- the fries were cold and the portion was much smaller than at RachelI phoned to complain and the guy did not offer sympathy or anything.All that for an overpriced burger - over 40$ with tip.

Very good place. A large range of poutine choices in the menu. All well served. The Burgers are very tasty and well presented. Fries are also pretty good. Fair wait time for good quick food.
They make the best fries around. I would give 5 stars except the last 2 times that I tried to call on an order, 1 time they were closed for impromptu renovations and we're picking up the phone and hanging up without answering and the other time the phone was 'disconnected' and not working... The employee there claimed that people trip over the wire and that their phones don't always work... Owners should really look at fixing this as they almost lost my sale and certainly lose a lot of phone orders when this happens...
