Franklin's has one of the few operational outdoor patios in the current shoulder season so we stopped in for their Sangria by the glass & New England IPA, both yum, so yum in fact we went back this afternoon for lunch. Philly cheesesteak & fries special $10 & a pitcher of Sangria. Don't judge. We're on holidays here!!! ?Food came out hot & fast soon after the pitcher. We wolfed the food, hungry, sorry, no pics, both were good. We had to ask for napkins & forks & ketchup. Gravy was not offered. Get your sangria by the glass $9 as our pitcher only held 3 glasses $29 due to so much ice, despite asking for light ice. Still, we'd go again. I think they're just working out the kinks after a long cold winter.
Terrible service, the place was full and there was a 30 minute wait, we waited until we found a table with high chairs. When we sat down we realized that it was incredibly uncomfortable especially for my wife who was pregnant. I waited for a table to clear up outside and once it cleared up we moved. Once the blonde waitress with glasses (don’t know her name) found out that we moved she threw a fit and was angry. I should also mention that she was already angry and gave us attitude when she was taking our order. The second waitress calmed us down and told us that she wasn’t very nice. The cheeseburgers that we ordered were very cold and the bun was too thick and the beef patty was very thin. Not a good burger and the fries were unsalted. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Way way better options in Montreal with a much friendlier staff
If I could, I would give Franklin's a 3.5 (instead of a 3). The service is friendly, the decor is unique (not often will you have a wall covered in old Playboy magazines), its open late, and the food isn't bad. It's just not that great, and not that fresh. A few little tweaks here and there could help this place take off (better quality buns for the cheesesteaks and hot dogs, slightly fresher toppings, a unique ingredient or two to add to the pretty basic poutine).Also, I actually came here because of the variety of cool milkshake options on their menu, only to find out they weren't serving milkshakes at all (a pretty big letdown). Would I come here again if I was desperate? Yea, I would. But it wouldn't be a mainstay.
I ordered a sub showing an imagine but another one arrived, the music and sub was very good, but the service needs improvement.
Was eager to try out the philly steak, and the ambience was a funky experience. However, the reason for 1 star is poor customer service as the server was having a rude attitude towards the customers. The person was so rude that he was infact teaching everyone respect.

Do NOT fall into their Uber Eats "buy 1 get 1" scam! All mini-sized poutine, sandwich, and burger. Compare them to a 330ml drink can! "Steak" was more of burned steak crumbs and American $#!t cheese in a hotdog bun $12 lol. Thin burger patty. Dry poutine. Worse of all is owner of this restaurant, an aggressive and unprofessional person. Avoid...
