Not impressed. Had dinner at the bar and there was zero ambiance. The restaurant is loud, bustling, saturated with repetitive club/techno music.I ordered a martini and grilled calamari to start, but because the atmosphere was underwhelming and overwhelming at the same time, and the calamari could otherwise be listed as “nothing special in oil”, I decided not to have dinner there. I’m not sure why the reviews are so great. It’s just not for me.
Patron fort sympathique et souper délicieux
Délicieux ? dîner dans une ambiance chaleureuse en merveilleuse compagnie
This was our first time visiting Montreal and we were lucky to get a reservation here as they are difficult to come by on short notice. The restaurant was very accommodating and allowed a change of time in our reservation which was appreciated. The food was absolutely stellar and the table side fish filleting was interesting to watch. The burrata salad appetizer was great and our entrees and the wine pairings (with suggestions from our server) were lovely. The only downsides were that it was a very expensive dinner but we knew that going in so were not surprised. The only other comment is that there were only male servers, which I found confusing and perhaps a little off-putting. Otherwise, a great night!
Amazing experience EVERY SINGLE TIME.This place is a staple for beautifully crafted plates, making your gastronomic experience one to remember!
After being away for a few years my wife and I returned to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious with nice presentation and helpful staff. Upon finding out why we’re celebrating the staff brought out an incredible birthday dessert with a candle. We will return.
Great Portuguese restaurant. Beautifully and createvely served delicious food. Reservations recommended. Metered arking on the street, not always easy. I enjoyed this place, will be coming back often. Try the Bouillabaisse. It is amazing. The duck confit risotto is also great.
Very good fish and seafood. Natas for dessert we’re probably the best ones I’ve ever had so far.
My daughter found this restaurant and we all Went there to celebrate her birthday ! We started with appetizers: Sardines , Burrata salad , octopus salad . Main courses : Octopus , Loup de Mer , filet mignon , a paella type dish , Black Cod . We were 9 people . Parking downtown on a rainy dreary Saturday night wasn’t easy . Dessert was a surprise of multiple mini items : Delicious . The food is great , the service is excellent, a bit loud . Nice place to celebrate with family !
I just ate at Ferreira Café tonight and felt complied to leave the best review I could, because it truly deserves it. As a matter of fact, I’d be very happy to give this place a seven out of five with stars to spare. The ambiance is great, it’s lovely to watch the chefs make your food, and the service was the best one could hope for. The food, however, was no less than divine. It was a revelation—the sort of food one could imagine being eaten in heaven, or Mount Olympus or wherever, but it’s here, in Montreal, and you’re spooning or forking it onto your tongue, and it’s beyond words.
