Beautiful afghan restaurant in the Plateau of Montreal. Bring your own wine or beer. Portions are large and very delicious. Kept us very full. Service however is a little slow but we came Saturday evening. Service is friendly and the server answered all our questions. Restaurant is clean, spacious and beautifully decorated.
I love everything this place: the food, staff, and atmosphere. The food is exceptional. Very tasty and filling. Not my our first time there but last time we went, we got the chicken (Murgh Mirch), meatballs (Kofta), and soup-ish (Ash Reshteh). All were amazing. Also had their Chapli kabob a while ago and that was also excellent, albeit spicy! The staff, the resto is family owned and the employees are super nice and caring! The chef, especially is so nice, at times she even comes and takes orders herself!Atmosphere is cute, too. Traditional afghan style, I guess, and cosy.Overall, a bit on the pricy side but well worth it. I’d go back again.
Amazing food! Great Quality. All food is Halal as the staff mentioned. The servers did their best and were quite nice. The only downside is the service is a bit slow.
My family came to Montreal for the F1 race, and had a hard time finding a restaurant for dinner that didn’t have a massive line up. We ended up at Kaboul, and I am so happy we did. It was the highlight of our trip! Our waitress was so lovely, as we were unfamiliar with Afghan cuisine. She recommended the perfect dishes based on everyone’s taste, and was friendly and extremely professional. It was clear she was proud to be serving there. The atmosphere is really lovely, culturally rich and upscale. But OMG THE FOOD!!! We couldn’t stop trying each other’s dishes, everything was unbelievably flavorful, and the portions were incredibly generous. I had the spiced chicken thigh kabob, it was mouth wateringly tender, and the spices used were unique to my palette but immediately a new favorite. I was full, but had to try dessert. The rose water vanilla ice cream was one of the loveliest finishes to a meal I can recall. The chef even came to thank us for coming.I don’t have a negative thing to say. If you are in Montreal, don’t get caught up in long lines for smoked meat and Poutine etc that you can get anywhere in the city. Go to Kaboul. Whether a romantic date, or a birthday, it will be the highlight of your night (at the very least).
Very expensiveService take timeWe wait up to 45 minutes for foodEmpty place most of the timeFood not badI don't recommend someone to go unless want to eat lamp
Literally everything we ordered was delicious. The service was friendly, helpful and genuine. Value for your money is excellent with generous portions and great flavor throughout. The hostesses recommendations were great as well. We couldn't help but share our dishes among our group because we each wanted to try everything! If you are in Montreal, don't miss Kaboul!
Such a delightful experience! The food was amazing and so flavourful. The staff are very genuine and pleasant. Back to the food, I really can’t say enough about it. We found this place completely by accident and it became a highlight of our trip to Montreal. Thank you!
Absolutely perfect meal. 5/5
We had Tandoori Poulet and some starters. Presentation was good and ambience too. Worth the try. ?
Excellent food, this is second time for me.Food is made with passion, tasty. Yes, it is bring your own wine. Price is high but is reflected in the quality.I highly recommend the restaurant, please be warned it can become very loudy.. where you cannot even understand people around your table.Service is good but slow, it was generalized, people were waiting, long time..15 to 20 minutes, usually....between any kind of service.. food,water,tea,...that hapenned on the 2 times I went. There is free parking around the area.Overall, very good experience.
