Excellent bagels that live up to the hype. You can also get cream cheese, smoked salmon, jam and other toppings.Great options for both sweet and savoury bagels! Very reasonably priced and delicious! This place is dedicated to pumping out bagels, and it’s awesome. You have to walk through a tiny corridor of bagels stacked to the ceiling just to order. Most of the shop is dedicated to either making bagels or storing them.

A lovely little bagel shop with a huge reputation. I’m so glad I got to visit while I was in Montreal. Drop everything you know about bagels and let yourself enjoy one of Fairmont’s fresh bagels. They’re wonderfully crisp, fluffy, and chewy. They have a pleasant sweetness and very mild flavor. I was caught off guard by the lack of saltiness but these really are pleasant to eat. I found them to be delicious the next day even without reheating them. Definitely a bucket list food spot you should visit.

Most famous bagel shop in Montreal. Opens 24/7 and they tastes way far better than any other shops.Takes cash only so cards won’t work. Had a good bit of line there, which is expected considering the reputation they have. Good variety of bagels to taste. Ginger garlic everything bagel is quite famous and everyone’s choices so far.Staffs are bilingual so not an issue to communicate for non Quebec person.

Some of the best Bagels you can get anywhere! Mtl style Bagels are the best and Fairmount is one of the OGs.No frills here, strictly take out. They have cutlery and accoutrements if you'd like to dress your bagel to go.Tons of flavor options and they have a constant stream of fresh Bagels being pumped out.

We (2 adults 2 kids) bought dozen of sesame bagels and ate 6 right on the site. Fresh cooked, taste really good.

We got the sesame and poppy seed bagels—there was a bit of a line, but service was fast and the bagels were fresh and delicious! A bit inconvenient that they accept cash only though.

We ordered 6 different types of bagels. All of them were good. They could have been softer. Two drawbacks - cash only and you need to buy Philadelphia cream cheese separately. It's a pretty small shop, but decent variety of bagels. We had sesame, onion, garlic, multigrain, cranberry and all dressed. We liked all dressed and garlic the best out of the lot.

New Yorker here. Fairmont bagels are delicious. Slightly honey-sweet, chewy and irresistible. We did the obligatory comparison with St Viateur (which we found to be dry), and Fairmont won by a landslide. I brought back a dozen to NYC to brag to friends and family.

We are from NYC and are used to having bagels. We were very excited to try Fairmount Bagel because of the name and legacy (of 100 years). We tried the bagels, they were so hard and small in comparison to NYC bagels. Plus unlike any bagel place in NYC, they do not make the bagel sandwiches. No toasting, no cream cheese (you have to buy Philadelphia cream cheese). The just sell bagels. That's all. Moreover, they do not accept credit cards, cash is only Canadian dollars. If you have US dollars, it is 1:1 conversion ?

Montreal landmark. Often up for debate for the best bagel in the city in my opinion it is also it’s the fastest service there’s never a lineup because they’re just very good at her job just because there’s a lineup other bagel places does it make that pick a place good it just means that there inefficient lol
