We live in an area known for it's fusion tacos, however Escondite blew our usual restaurants out of the water! The servers were incredibly knowledgeable about the food and drinks. They were hustling yet took the time to make us feel appreciated and well taken care of. They were amazing. The food was incredible! I am obsessed with the mango/cucumber salad, the tostadas, and the chicken tinga tacos. We loved it all. We can't recommend enough!

Love this spot! Their selection of tacos is focused and highlights fresh ingredients prepared in creative ways. The Baja tacos are a real standout -- fresh, crisp fish with tangy slaw and sauce. Just perfect. Cocktail selection is lovely too. I enjoyed the pink grapefruit Paloma with the tacos inhaled too quick to get a photo!

Great location, good and service! So many good options to choose from, flavourful, and well presented! Would return :)

I pass by this place every day and had to check it out. Waitress recommended me their classic margarita and it was awesome! Portions are small but very flavourful. Wasn't sure about the "nachos" when they were being brought to our table (very small plate and not your typical nachos--they were really more like dumplings with a stuffing inside) but they were very tasty. The terrace is great for a comfortable summer evening with friends!

I always love Escondite but was especially impressed this time around. I booked an online reservation with a group at the minute but when we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed they were actually all booked for the night. We left disappointed but as we were making a plan to go elsewhere, the host came out and said that they could squeeze us in if we left by a certain time. That worked for us and we had a great night, with delicious food and drinks - our waitress Jessica was especially friendly and attentive. Thanks Escondite!

Came here to celebrate a colleague's birthday during a business trip to Montreal and it was the perfect location! Great ambience in the restaurant. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. Drink orders were also taken and delivered quickly. It took a bit longer to decide what to eat and our server was very patient. Finally had the shrimp ceviche to start and it was excellent. Others had the tuna tostadas and were equally pleased. The main course options are a selection of tacos, including a cauliflower version. All served as portions of two though it is possible to request a third. They are quite small so if you don't have a starter you will probably want a third. We tried a selection and they were all excellent. With good drinks and ambience it was a really great evening.

Tacos were tasty. Nachos 2.0 weren’t great IMO- they were cheese dumplings with nacho toppings.. not terrible by any means but unnecessary to reinvent the wheel and on the pricey side for $13 for a few bites. Overall a nice ambiance and good food though.

I had a great time at Escondite. Their food is really good. As we were with a group with got a group platter with all different kinds of dishes. They were very delicious. The cocktails are really good. The staff was also very nice. Would really recommend this place.

There is only one thing that could make me think twice about going here and it's the price. I know very well that it's in the heart of downtown so it is bound to be expensive, but it cost 200 (incl tip) for 2 people. That seemed steep. The food is delicious, but the portions are small. And the cocktails were great. Our server was friendly as well as the rest of the staff.I can recommend it!

Really hopping on a Thursday after work! Really lovely servers who clearly had their hands full. The drinks and food were totally great though, and the vibe was awesome. Didn't really matter to us the service being slightly slow (understandable), we weren't in a rush. Definitely recommend the quesadilla and the cauliflower tacos!
