Authentic Mexican Restaurant, fast service.
The food here is to die for!! It's one of the few places where everything on your plate is cooked from scratch and so you don't end up feeling like you've just indulged in junk food. Fresh, flavorful, colorful and delicious! The service was lovely and the ambience makes you feel like you're on vacation. Absolutely beautiful experience!

Underrated mexican place just outside the Jean Talon market. The nopales salad was great, so was the vegetarian platter. The corn tortillas were so soft and fresh, they even threw in an extra plate of the tortillas for free, when we requested another serving. The best horchata i've ever had, so milky and smooth!
Des amis Mexicains m'ont conseillé de ne pas aller car c'était trop cher pour un goût loin des saveurs Mexicains. Je suis un amateur des viandes et je me suis dit je vais donner la chance et j'ai commandé le plat de ARRACHERA qui coûte autour de 25$ avec les taxes et je reçois un plat avec de la cezina une viande mince et pas au niveau de la arrachera. C'est comme si vous commandez du SAUMON et vous amène du tilapia. C'est vraiment une arnaque, après j'ai raconté à mes amis ils m'ont dit c'est avec ce même plat qui se fait avoir. On dit toujours de regarder bien la clientèle dans des restaurants et si vous voyez beaucoup gens de la même nationalité du restaurant vous pouvez faire confiance la clientèle est plus québécoise que mexicaine en conclusion.Le service rien a dire c'était bien mais la bouffe pas vraiment.
There were bones. Real bones in the Burrito del ray. Do not order from here.This place is nothing to write home about. Save yourself breaking teeth and chocking on bones.Ordered on Uber and it arrived stone cold to boot. So unhappy.
The food here was amazing. The decor and staff were excellent and I can't wait to come back to Montreal and eat here again!

We were at another Mexican restaurant and they happen to run out of churros so the lady suggested El Rey Del taco as they had the same churros. So we called and asked them to keep some aside for us and since we were going here for the first time we thought of trying their chorizo tacos and so when I called I asked for just the chorizo tacos with the spicy sauce. When we picked the order and bought it home I realized that they gave us the chorizo taco meal which had guac, rice and some chopped onions with cilantro and lime so I called them to ask them if they gave me a wrong order since I wanted just the 4 chorizo tacos that the lady when I had called told me comes as one order. So this guy on the phone says no they don’t do just tacos for take away…apparently the rice and guac goes with the tacos!!! I confirmed this twice on the phone with him but I still need to check their menu because that’s just weird! What if I just wanna buy tacos?! And not pay for the guac rice and onions?! I’m sure it’s gotta be cheaper for just the tacos right???! Anyway the chorizo in the tacos was meh! So this was quite disappointing and we shall stick with our regular taco shop. The churros were amazing and yes they were the same as the other taco shop! This place seems to have ready to take mole sauces and a lot of other Mexican sauces & fresh chips too!
The food is just amazing. I have been there a lot of times and the food is juste like at home. I don't need to specify what is good or not, because to be honest, everything is great on their menu. They also have the best churros around Montreal
