They forgot to bring one of the tacos so we had to remind the waitress. They brought the wrong vegetarian fajita (with chicken on it), when they removed the chicken there was no Portobello mushrooms. (menu said it came with them). Lastly when splitting the bill in 4, they made mistakes. Other wise food was tasty and personnel friendly. Just sloppy service. If I pay good money I expect good service. Considering there are so many food Taco places in Montreal, I will not be coming back to El Gordo.

?Food: 5/5?Place: 5/5?Service: 5/5?Price: 5/5The food was just perfect and there is nothing bad to say about it. If you are a fan of Mexican food, you will love it.I can't even tell you what what were my favorites since everything was great. On the other hand, the portobello tacos were from another world and you absolutely have to try them.

Improvised a brunch menu and ended up with great service, delicious mexicain dishes and healthy smoothies to wash down the burritos.Portions may need more vegetables however you can ask for salad to balance the rich sauce, well cooked meat and great cheese.

The atmosphere was nice. Mexican food I would say was decent. But overall it was a good experience

This is a contemporary Mexican restaurant at the heart of little burgundy. Great location with outdoor dining (terrace) when available. We had 4 dishes. The chips and guac, fried calamari, chorizo tacos and quesadilla. The guacamole was outstanding, the calamari was fantastic, one of the best in the city, the chorizo tacos were a dud, overcooked and dry with an oily base. The quesadilla had to much tortilla for the ingredients. Service was good. I found that the food did not have authentic Mexican flavors, but would return for 5à7 for the dynamite squid and guac.

Very tasty the shrimps (camarones and chorizo) is really good but can you handle spicy? ? and my drink was called a Pina Rita. Churros were so delicious ?

The food is very bland. The tacos were so bad. So bad. The location is so good and there are so many great restaurants in the area that we thought it would blow our minds. The chips and guacamole looked like they came straight from a Costco aisle. Actually, if they had come from Costco maybe they would have had some taste. If you have experienced real good tacos in your life...maybe on the streets of Mexico, this restaurant will disappoint. Tacos Frida down the street in St Henri may not have the same ambiance, but the food is way better there. Or Tacos Victor in that area as well. The only saving grace was some of the staff who were very nice.

I absolutely love their tacos and they make a mean marg! So far my favorite taco place in the city...the pic shows one of each which I highly recommend doing since I couldn't pick one I like more than the next!

Excellent food, atmosphere and service! First time at the restaurant for a team dinner. We were a group of 7 and had a fantastic time! Will definitely be back again.
