For the price, the portion - this is a super place. The sauce is nice. The chilli flakes and cheese is just perfect, the gnocchi is just okay but it works. Good to share between two.
We saw a line up right beside Fairmont Bagel and ended up trying it out... What an amazing find it was!! This cute little restaurant almost a size of a lemonade stand serves the most delicious gnocchi with their homemade tomato sauce. Only three things in the menu to pick from but I went for the extra cheese and spicy. Portion size is huge and with tax I paid only around $6.
Apparently Montreal has so many hidden gens and this is one of them. They only have gnocchi and the only options that you have us more cheese and pepper, but! But it so so good that you want to come back everyday for more! Enjoy it if you are living ir visiting Montreal.
This is the most unassuming place. If it wasn't for the line up, which moves fast you'd probably walk right by without giving it a second thought. DON'T walk away, wait in line because this is one of the best meal deals around. $5 for a box of fluffy smooth gnocchi with an incredible sauce. You will not be disappointed.
If there’s a better $5 deal in Montreal please tell me because this place wins first place in the best value in my mind by a landslide no doubt. There is usually a steady line up and for good reason because for $5 tax in you can’t beat this place. The Gnocchi is creamy and hearty and the sauce is great too. With some Parmesan cheese and pepper flakes if you like it spicy that little container is a good time. You might’ve had better Gnocchi elsewhere but for a homemade $5 treat this can’t be beat. We paid $1 for an extra scoop of Parmesan to make it extra cheesy and added hot pepper flakes as well but I suggest you go light on those to not overpower the flavour. Don’t forget to leave a little tip for your server because with a Deal like that it’s only fair, enjoy ??
The gnocchi was so fresh and prepared very quickly as well. Definitely big portions, as you get a whole carton of gnocchi for just $5! We came back a second time the next day :)

Great Gnocchi for the price. Comes in a takeout box with parmesan cheese and chili flakes. Sauce is pretty good and staff is very friendly
There's no better way to enjoy excellent tomato sauce than with gnocchi, some parmesan cheese, and chilli flakes all for $5!! Beware that there might be a line up if you decide to go here. Note that this place is takeout only and is also next to the very popular Fairmont Bagel.
Ended up in the Plateau with my Valentine today and decided to stop for something warm. This place keeps it simple....gnocchi, sauce & parmesan. A good portion served nice and hot all for $5. I will agree with some, not the best sauce I have ever had but that is what makes it so good. Hot comfort food any day of the week. Will definitely be back for more.
