Maybe I'm just old fashioned. But when I go to a restaurant, especially one like Chops, where the prices are quite high, I expect to be served by somebody who is friendly and who wants to offer great service. Boy, did I get a wrong number !!! Not only was this waiter a sourpuss, he had zero interest in offering good service or to ensure that our food orders were satisfactory. I will never ever go back to Chops, nor will any of the several people who were with me. Normally, I would have got up and said something to this person and/or even ask to see the Manager, but my friends asked me not to. Anyhow, I'm done with Chops. Done like dinner !!! ps: to the waiter: "What's Eating You?" You got a good job; an honest job, so why the lousy undignified unfriendly attitude?"
Excellent in every way. The food was delicious. The service was professional, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant itself wad wrll decorated, clean and comfortable.We will definitely return in the near future.
Interesting take on Asian fusion steakhouse. Majority of the large assortment of food our group had was very good. But I've had better Asian good at strictly Asian restaurants - szechuan or sushi.
The food was good! Nice restaurant! Clean washroom. Overpriced ! Service included on the bill which I find somewhat unacceptable considering we went for lunch,only 3 of us. The bill came roughly near 170$!! First time going and probably last!
Over price for what you get. Terrible service. We asked for the check and a few minutes later a big group came in. They totally ignored my request. I asked for the check 4 times, after 30 minutes I decided to leave. I went to the cashier and they added an 18% automatic tip to the amount. Terrible service does not deserve an 18% tip. I will not come back and do not recommend this place. Unless you are Jewish, eat kosher food and don't care about anything I mentioned above.
Kosher restaurants in Montreal are rare and Chops has been around for some time. Unfortunately they never evolved to the reputation they set for themselves. Service is always average, the restaurant is not properly maintained and the customer is not heard ( even when he asks to give feedback) no one comes. The food is ok, yet overpriced. Do yourself a favour, take the extra time and drive to Chiyoko for a fancier option or Benny et fils for more casual.
It’s a rip off !!! Very expensive place. Very bad service ! The Indian waiter was constantly pushing us to order more and bigger plates which we refused . Was very expensive and on top of that they charge you a huge service fee on the taxes . Very expensive and very medium food. Very bad service and waiters!! Avoid at any cost !!!

In my opinion , this restaurant had a terrible experience with the customer service the hostess was beyond rude to me. We had one waiter for 25 people . The food was not so great beside the cocktails . I think everyone should try there own experiences !!!!
