The only Indian restaurant I've found in the city that makes dosas and the delicious and unique chili bhajis. The dosas are very rich and savory, with a good amount of spice and come with a delicious coconut chutney for dipping. Prices are also very decent. The butter chicken is a little different than other places but still very good. Highly recommended
Good Dosa and Biryani. Fresh Made Dosa and Idli. Very Tasty.Be prepared to stand and eat. its little tight to sit and eat, shared with Italian and Chinese joint.Could be the only South Indian joint in the st.catherine. And a good one.

Some of the best chicken biryani I've ever had. When I lived near by I came here once a week religiously buying 2 biryanis and some samosas. Every time I came in the owner/cook had a smile on his face. I highly recommend this place not only is it really good its fantastic for the price you pay. I went to another Indian at the Time out market, and the flavor could not compare to the one at Chennai Express. Please go and get yourself a biryani you will nor regret it. Chennai express is one of the three quick bite food joints on St Catherine's Street.A great place for a quick bite, is halal & has a good selection on the menu, of South Indian food.We tried their masala dosa which was really good with crispy edges. But the sides of coconut chutney & sambar were just alright - we've had better. Nonetheless the flavour was good just a bit too watery for us.Their samosa is yummy & chai is great too. But the mayo-chilli side for samosas was a let down. It would have been great to have chutney with it.Definitely worth a visit if you're in downtown & looking for something tasty.
Mr Venky the owner is a fantastic owner and cook. Their curry and biryani were fantastic and mouth watering. The spices used were home-like that it didn't taste restaurant like. Price point is fantastic and very affordable for family of 4
Amazing South Indian delicacies with authentic and incredible taste. You cannot resist yourself from coming again here. Additionally you will end up overeating and stuffing up your stomach ☺️❤️. I am definitely gonna visit this place whenever I am going to visit Montreal.

Authentic South Indian Cuisine!!Cannot resist the food here even if you are not that hungry. Dosas, Vada or Podi Idli was was few of the things that i tried & turned out absolutely amazing. Must visit! Will definitely visit again when back in Montreal!!
