The food is amazing, homemade and authentic. This place has a few bad reviews of people complaining about slow service, this type of customers that complain about such thing are apparently clueless about the on-going lack of labor, price rises, and overall situation that its known since the pandemic started and still continues. This is a small family business and the owners are simply amazing and give all their hearts to operate their business. If you are reading this and are one of those people that are clueless and unconscious please be more thoughtful before harming businesses due to your lack of understanding... The meats there are insanely good!Calavera tortilla is enormous and for a good price.The service was not great (they forgot the meat in my calavera tortilla order, then ordered churros which never came), but the staff are really friendly!Churros are 3 pieces for 5$ (a bit expensive).
A sweet mix in between traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex with a dash of originality.Small place, feels family run. Staff is soo curtuous.Blown away by the churizo burritos, nachos entrada,Will be going again!
Im in love with Mexican food and I’ve always looking for an amazing Mexican food that can bring me back to my good times in Mexico!!! I have finally found the most incredible authentic Mexican food that I have EVER tried in my life !!! Calaveras has brought me back to what real Mexican food suppose to taste … amazing food, amazing drinks and absolutely great service. A million thanks, its a must to try !!

They came twice telling me that there’s no the beer I asked. We order a glass of margarita, they came with a pitcher. After 45 minutes the order came incomplete, we waited another 15 min, never came. I asked for the bill explaining the situation and they arrived with the bill charging me the whole order, they returned with the proper bill.
Ordered takeout shrimp tacos with the soup frjol, unfortunately the soup we got was the Caldo tlalpeño so the vegetarian who ordered the soup couldn’t eat it. I had the Caldo soup, and it tasted under seasoned and there wasn’t really any spices in it, kind of underwhelming for 8$. For the Shrimp tacos, they were missing a kick or some type of seasoning and they don’t serve tacos with any salsa. How is that possible? I’ve been to Mexican restaurants all over Montreal and I’ve been let down.
