I wish all my dinning experiences were as superb as they were at Flyjin. The food, drinks and service were excellent - Valarie (our bartender) was fantastic! Highly recommend!
Wow!!!!
Food 10/10
Staff ? To be honest I haven't seen a staff that friendly ever.... like ever in my life.
They make you feel like your home real quick !!
Restaurant turns into a club after supper
Crowd is perfect age for us ( 30 and up )
Music is only house tho. But the dj has some remix that really keeps the vibe up. I'm more of a rnb / hip-hop guy and still had a blast ! Came with a clique of +/- 20 people for a birthday, definitely going back with a smaller group to experience the full menu ! ( we had a group menu... absolutely delicious but limited on the all the choices they have )
Only low point: drink are a little expensive... speciality drinks 18.00$ and your regular gin tonic at 14$.

Overall, this is gonna be my spot for summer in the MTL old port ! Can wait to go back it's absolutely amazing !
Great service from one bartender alone - because of her, the night was amazing and she's the one that get all 4 stars because of her energy and mixology knowledge.
The manager on the floor, which we understand he's doing his job, is not great at communicating in a friendly manner. We had reservations, but didn't realize you HAD to eat something, so he moved the 4 of us from our table to the bar, which was totally fine, but his delivery of words weren't ideal, considering my experience in the food & hospitality industry, he could have articulated himself a lot better, especially his tone, we aren't children, you could have spoken to us like adults. It doesn't say that on your website, so maybe you guys need to update that since we were told you need a reservation to just get in there prior to bottle service.
But at the bar is where all the good times were - then bottle service started and the place got packed and then we were told we couldn't hang out at the bar anymore because we weren't spending enough money, even after the two bottles of Moet was purchased. My husband and I left right after that interaction.
The tone and his demeanour needs some serious work.
Great "hidden" bar in Old Montreal with a wide selection of food and drinks. The club style atmosphere is a great way to spend your evenings with friends.
"Exclusive" wannabes .. you have to email them for a reservation. I tried to reserve for a party of 20-25 people for my 22nd birthday, but apparently they have a "25 year old+ policy" which is ridiculous. I mentionned I was planning to order bottle service all night and even offered to give them a deposit in advance and they still refused because of the age thing. I've never heard of this before. Jokes on them because I was ready to pay them a lot of $$$$??‍♀️??‍♀️ they lost all credibility within my network. Shame
The ladies took care of us very well, sweet team and lovely atmosphere. The music was boring at the beginning however The Dj switch to the real vibes later on and honestly was killing it.The menus of the food kind of tight, hard to find something good to eat, mostly suchi and ra stuff or overpriced ! However it’s good place to come once a while for birthday or celebration ?.The drinks just as you asked ? .
Great food, Great Drinks and Amazing Service.Went for dinner with work friends. We all ordered a cocktail to start the evening.WOW, those drinks were so good. The food we ordered was mostly Sushi, and it was excellent. One of the girls order dessert, which also looks delicious. The restaurant opens at 7pm and that's the time we arrived, so it wasn't too busy yet.The service was perfect. We will most definitely try this place again.
Flyjin is a izakaya-inspired restaurant in the heart of Old Montreal. High-powered executive chef Olivier Vigneault and his team serve up predominantly Japanese fare, but also explore flavors from China. Commonly mistaken for a supper club, things are not what they seem in this exclusive underground venue.Set in a subtly futuristic yet timeless underground dining room, Flyjin boasts a synchronized lighting system that transforms the space to fit the mood at any point during the evening. It features a large removable dining table for big parties wanting to be the center of attention, cozy banquettes for the more personal dinner party, tall tables with a communal feel, a stretching bar for a casual meal and several nooks behind the bar for an intimate dinner where one needs only interact with their waiter and bartender, hovering just above the evening crowd.
Really interesting place the bouncer was super nice so we're the people outside. It was super busy and fun for a Wednesday night. Drinks are expensive as expected and music is Loud welcome to a club. Had a time can't complain cool atmosphere.
I don't think this place is geared towards people over 45, just to be honest. The address was difficult to find, probably because it isn't on the building, and the door to the place is recessed and unnoticeable. I asked three bearded guys smoking pot if they knew where 419 was and they acted as if they never heard of it. I then asked if they knew where Flyjin was and they then reluctantly admitted they were employees. They took great care and attention in inspecting my wife and my ID, probably because he was high and hopefully not suspicious. The place is pretty interesting, but the red light everywhere made me irritable. The music was far too loud to have a conversation and the food was good, not great but the portion size was more for a toddler despite the outrageous prices. The crowd was what you'd expect, slick, greasy looking douchebags in suits who look like they're nightly goal is to slip a roofie to some young girl.As I said, it isn't a place with the older crowd in mind, but more for the vacuous and desperate to impress and be seen by others. Flyjin is just another 'too cool for school' club that is trying way too hard...something I've seen a million times.Oh yeah, a bottle a saki and 2 appetizers knocked us back for $140 with tip, plus another $20 to park in old Montreal.
