I’m blown away by the food quality of this place. And the flavour combinations are genius. They know flavour very well. The fried chicken sandwich is the best I’ve ever had in my life. Bravo for the creative sauces!!!
Not sure why the reviews are so low. I went recently and ate in the back patio because their dine in now is closed for some reason. Food was good, no more buckets for some reason which is odd, like they said they don't offer it anymore. So we got the chicken tenders and it was delicious. Juicy, flavorful, crispy breading, a nice bite. The potato wedges were delicious too, the sauce was fun tho the wedge on its own is good.I'd come back but I'd love to try the bucket.
We really enjoyed our experience yesterday. Excellent service, the food was insanely delicious, beautiful interior and exterior design (there is even a frame of one of my favourite artist: Dan Climan) the music was good, the vibe was nice, nothing negative to say except the over packaging and not having vegan fried chicken on the menu but I am still giving 5 stars! Looking forward for the dinner room to open, cannot wait to come back again, thank you for everything!
Chicken pieces and sandwiches are amazing!
Bucky Rooster's looked great on Instagram, so we decided to order and try it for the first time. We ordered 5-piece combo, but what we got was a bucket of chicken breading with chicken on the side ? Each chicken piece was covered in a ton of breading. If you look at the picture, you'll see how much was left over and we did eat some. It was too much breading, we just ended up taking it off. Felt like taking a shell off the chicken.Chicken tasted OK, but not $35 worth. Olivia's, Sidechicks, even KFC has more flavor. We also chose "honey" as our sauce, thinking it would be some sort of honey sauce. It was just plain honey?!?! Fries were good, though. In addition, we got chocolate cake. That was actually good. If they bake them from scratch, frankly, Bucky Rooster's should be selling cakes not fried chicken. They're in the wrong business. This was a disappointment, unfortunately.
Simply the best fried chicken in the city , and it’s not even close. Everything is homemade and you can definitely taste it. The sauces have no business being this good. The mac n cheese , the burgers, the desserts , I have not had one bad thing yet. They introduced waffle fries since there is a shortages with the wedges but I hope they keep the waffle fries whenever the wedges come back.Everything is made with care. While it is pricey , everything is quality from the food to the packaging to even the napkins they use so it more then makes up for it. Can’t recommend Bucky’s enough. I hope to one day see them expand into the West Island.
Finally got a chance to try this and the experience was great! They were very nice, seeing it was our first time they included a variety of sauces for us to discover. The fried chicken didnt feel greasy, the breading was crispy; had a harder crunch than other fried chicken. The meat was tender and juicy. I believe they do say they use local chicken. Their chicken tender was indeed very tender. The moon dog burger was pretty huge. Quite generous portions. Very light hint of sweet on their food leaning more on the southern side. The mac and cheese was light making a good side dish. The gravy was good but a bit thicker would have been perfect. The sweet and slight spicy mango sauce for the tenders was great. We also has a more orang-ie sauce it tasted like what hooters would call “medium” dressing but it packed a harder punch which was amazing. There was another small container of sauce which smelled like apple sauce but it wasnt hahaha it was slightly spicy. The potatoes were seasoned properly. Topped it off with a valentines pie.Pricing was on the higher end but very well worth it.
This used to be my favourite fried chicken place in Montreal but it has gone downhill in an incredible way. I understand that supply chain issues have affected many formerly great restaurants, so it's hard to hold it against them, but after being excited to order from there and being crushed, it's hard to justify getting anything from there again for a long while, especially with the price to quality ratio being what it is. Very expensive to not even be able to get their potato wedges anymore and to get a chicken sandwich that was advertised as chicken breast (it definitely was not) just absolutely doused in hot sauce, presumably to camouflage the low quality meat.
Delicious burger as always but I wanted to mention specifically the amazing serviceI ordered a burger on site and the wait time was 15minI asked if I could wait outside and even though I am the only one doing this on a -20 day, someone came over to turn the heat on ?The wait is so much better ? thanks
Moved this week and have been relying heavily on delivery. My kids remembered Bucky Roosters and started chanting the name as their request for dinner. The chicken as usual was simply spectacular. I don't know how they do it. What surprised me was that I decided to get a pie - not much of a pie person... The chocolate cookie fudge pie thing is mind blowing. Is it even a pie? it's an incredible fusion of delicious tastes and textures. wow. And the waffle fries made me pretty happy too.
