Great place for some really nice pizzas. Vegan friendly place. We've been here a couple of times before the pandemic when we used to take a class at YMCA next door and loved the pizzas and the ambiance. Came here for the first time after the pandemic and the place is still the same.We tried Viva Vegan and Rick (vegetarian). Loved both. We also got the Cannoli which is also great, especially the Pistachio one . However they have this weird rule that you can order Cannoli only one, four or six. So if you want to order two or three, you can only order one after the other. But that will take a lot of time. The staff was great. There's street parking outside which will generally have some spots available.Highly recommended.
Ordering a Margherita pizza is like being naked - there’s not much to hide. With just dough, sauce, cheese and basil you gotta nail it… and they did! I added banana peppers for some heat and it was awesome. The other pizza was the Calabrese with some spicy honey, you could really taste the sweetness! Fast, cheap and delicious! PS, don’t bother going to Pizzaria Napolitana in little Italy - $18 for a margherita are you joking?!
This is by FAR the best pizza place I’ve ever found. It tastes fresh, the crust is baked to perfection and they make it in a wood oven. The atmosphere is really nice, whether you wanna do a night out with friends or study while eating delicious pizza, this is the place for you! You also get to choose your own toppings. I definitely recommend.
The pizza is really good! It’s wood oven baked and was delicious. We wanted to take close pictures and the staff were encouraging us to take closer pictures and were really chill. We had leftovers and the take out boxes were useful!
Awesome and unique pizza place in downtown. Great ambience setup and can build your own customized pizzas.
We were so excited to drive all the way to downtown to try the deep dish Detroit style. We read all the reviews before coming in. Even though, there were some 1star reviews saying that the deep dish isnt cooked for long enough, we were still impressed by the long reply by the owner and how much he seems to know about his product. However, his knowledge does not reflect on the deep dish pizza we bought today. My heart dropped when opening the pizza box knowing that we just paid $28 for a pizza which dough doesnt even smell as good as any pizza not cooked in the oven.It tastes like a frozen pizza. Pizza Hut is even better tbh.I havent tried their other pizza but dont recommend their deep dish ?The attached photos show how soggy and thick the dough is...
Haven't been to this place in a couple of years (pre-COVID) so was excited to eat their pizza once again! My lady friend always has a Margherita and I ordered the Butcher (Italian Sausage, Ham & Bacon). My pizza was somewhat overdone but quite edible.Unfortunately my friend's pizza was extremely overdone to the point of being "burnt toast".(see photos).Needless to say, it was another major disappointment to dining outside the home since COVID restrictions were relaxed.ADDENDUM - in reply to Brigade's response to my initial posting above.Hello JD,We have been patronizing your establishment for a few years and was always very satisfied with your pizzas.Of course, that was pre-COVID days when we lived in the Plateau so it's a short trip via STM bus. However we're now living in St-Leonard and the trip took over one hour but we figured it would be worth it because of the high quality of your pizza. In fact, my lady friend says your Margherita pizza is one of BEST she's ever eaten due to the crust which she knows it's because you use "00-flour".That's why she was in shock and so disappointed to get this very burnt pizza. She noticed that everybody else's pizzas looked the same so she was reluctant to complain. In hindsight and your comments, we should have brought this matter to Grace's attention. Also, my sincere apology for the "lack of heat" remark (which I have since deleted from my original review). It was written in the "heat of the moment" (no pun intended). So I've upgraded this review to 3-stars and hopefully the next time we come - it will be the usual "Five Star" experience like those prior visits to your pizzeria!.
I don’t often leave explanations with my food reviews but I feel this experience really warrants it since I only gave 1 star. We ordered one toasted garlic bread, one custom built pizza and one vegan pizza. The custom pizza looked absolutely beautiful on top but when I checked my boyfriend's pizza underneath it was completely black! He wouldn’t let me ask for a new one since he didn’t want to waste the beautiful ingredients on the top but this really didn’t look appetizing. I had the vegan one and the bottom was actually fine but the top was completely burnt with a million black spots - so unappetizing! I picked them off but by the time I was done doing that the food was cold! Then when I was done picking off the top of my pizza my boyfriend had finished half of the garlic bread and I started eating it. This also looked nice and tasted nice but the bottom was completely black! Burnt solid. Everyone was so nice and the restaurant vibe was great but the food was horrible! I didn’t want to ruin the experience by complaining but felt people should be warned of the quality of the food. Burnt or charred food is actually a carcinogen and should be avoided or eaten in small amounts if it cannot be avoided. This was beyond small amounts and I was extremely disappointed.
Tried the volcano Detroit style pizza which was heavenly!! Amazing crust and perfect amount of cheese and generous toppings. Very unique.Cheesy garlic bread was kinda ok. Needs a dipping sauce that's not included in the price, sadly.
For the Best Pizzas in Downtown. Actually everything in their menu is Delicious. You can actually configure your pizzas the way you like them. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Quick service.
