Absolutely atrocious. The banana blossom (mock Fish and Chips) dish has no salt, no flavor and no taste. Taking banana blossoms out of a can, dipping it in a bland and boring batter, deep frying it and serving it for $22 with 80% of the plate covered in french fries is not worth it - for your body and for your wallet.Not even if offered for free. Dumplings were below average too but were atleast edible. I literally took a bite and left my plate as it is. The server/manager/hostess gave a fake "l will let the person concerned" know assurance, took her payment and left.Please DO NOT INSULT vegan food like this. This is the reason haters of vegan food hate it. If you cannot even taste your food, why serve it and waste people's money? I paid close to $50 with tips and left unhappy and hungry. I am extremely disappointed. I hope people reading this review spend their money elsewhere. Flavor those canned banana blossoms or take the dish out of your menu please. Sorry to be critical, but hard earned money is not meant to swallow deep fried bland canned food !

I was excited about this place, and heard good things about them, However my personal experience told me otherwise.First of all, the cocktails are very weak, it could be easily mistaken as a mocktail.Then, theres some problems with their printing machine, that the food we ordered didn't get served until 15 mins later after the table which came after us finished their meals, which I can understand that might happens sometimes.When the food finally arrived, it doesn't not taste as well as it looks, the patty tastes froze and plain. But the worse part is that there is a hair in my honey chicken burger, which completely killed off my appetit.With all these, the final bill was $50 per person, I will not come back here again for sure. ESP, for the carelessness of the kitchen.Side note: if you want good vegan food with fantastic cocktails, Lola rosa would be a better choice.
A great little pub/resto that I found in Montreal. I decide to go here because I am a bit of a burger fanatic and wanted to try theirs out. I was not disappointed with what I received. I tried one of their special drinks which was tastey. Then one of their local beer selections which was also good. The bowhead burger was my next choice and I would recommend it. I was just right as far as seasoning goes; they didn't overpower the burger. My only disappoint was I was hoping for a slice of their carrotcake for dessert but they were out...all in all probably better for me. If you are walking along the St Laurent strip, I would you drop in and try out the burgers and margharitas here!
Le menu complet n’était malheureusement pas disponible alors j’y allais spécialement pour les « fishnchip », mais ils n’étaient pas disponibles vu le manque de personnel. Service A1, la nourriture que j’ai mangé était bonne et le drink était bon ! J’y retournerai!
Impossible burger is always amazing! However, my burger was slightly on the bunred end. Other than that it tastes pretty amazing!
I’ve been here many times and would love to give a higher rating but I feel like with each visit, the quality of service decreases. Our waitress was not friendly whatsoever and gave me attitude when I asked about our drinks (45 minutes after sitting down!). It took forever for her to come see us, I had to call her over to take our order & it took very long for our drinks and food to arrive. Also, the first time I had the animal fries was last summer and they were sooo delicious. I’m not sure what they changed but they’re not as good anymore! That being said, still a great spot for vegan pub food.
Surprisingly delicious vegan fare, fresh ingredients, perfect portion size, reasonable prices, lovely to be able to eat outside (somewhat cramped) patio. A hidden gem of a place - that I hope will see increased success. Definitely worth a try for vegans, vegetarians & anyone who wants to try going meatless for a meal!
The tacos are really good, the whatamelon drink is so refreshing and the ambiance was super chill with good music.
C’est la deuxième fois que je vais au Bowhead et je n’ai définitivement pas été déçue. La nourriture est extraordinaire! J’ai commandé les animal fries en entrée, le Monster burger et le brownie! C’était délicieux quoique trop de nourriture (j’aurais peut-être pas dû commander une entrée mais j’avais envie de tout goûter)! Pour ce qui est des drinks, la sangria blanche est délicieuse, la rouge un peu moins et très forte et le mojito est incroyable!
