Such a great experience! They serve refined delicacies and the decoration is well thoughtIt is more Japanese “tapas” than sushiI think it’s a very good experience overall for everyone who wants to eat in a good-quality Japanese restaurant downtown
Yum. Great food, drinks and service. The eel was a particularly delightful dish. Okonomyaki with truffle oil was very nicely done. Highly recommend for a chill but delicious dining experience.
I was in for lunch last week and it is best to arrive early if you don't want to reserve, before the place fills up. There is the tucked away second floor patio and inside the restaurant is nice too, very cozy. I had the cheese brochettes with beef (cheese wrapped in a thin covering of beef) which were very tasty, and a Japanese crepe that had crisp cabbage inside and half the crepe I ended up taking hame, so their small plates aren't that small, and ginger beer was gingery and refreshing.
We came here without booking and were extremely lucky to benefit from a no show. We were a party of 4. After being seated we were promptly given water and a drinks order taken. We had a MR. POPO cocktail while the server explained that it was a tapas style restaurant with Japanese food. We were given recommendations of certain dishes, but was offered a 'tasting menu' to fully experience most of the food on offer. The tasting menu was about $45 per person. All of the food was full of flavour and extremely enjoyable. The food was fresh and well seasoned, along with perfect ingredient combinations. My favourite was the black gyoza and pork rib. All the pictures I've added show every dish included in the tasting menu. The evening was so enjoyable and we were looked after throughout. We topped the evening off with a sake.
Le service incroyable et les plats succulents! Mon resto préféré!!!
First of all, delightful service! Jean-Francois, who took really good care of us, showed us exactly the type of service I want. And food was good too! Fried tofu was delicious. Try the signature cocktail! And friendly gem for drinks and simple food.
5 star for the service, 1 star for foodI’m sorry to say this but the Tataki tasted so bad I almost puked out. Returned it instantly. Ramen and fried chicken is just at the edge of edible. But service is fast and friendly.
Le personnel super gentil . Un beau menu varié avec des cocktail super origiinaux.
A friend and I recently had an amazing lunch at Biiru restaurant in downtown Montreal. The food and the service were both excellent as was the ambience in the restaurant. Between us, we ordered the Black Gyoza (pork, shrimp and black mushroom rolled together), Veggie Gyoza (veggie ravioli with Gyoza sauce), Candied Salmon, Karaage (fried chicken, yuzu and black pepper mayonnaise) and Pokuribu 2.0 (glazed pork ribs). The Candied Salmon, and Pokuribu dishes were absolutely amazing and a real highlight. The Veggie Gyoza and Karaange were excellent as well. We ended lunch with a shared serving of Matcha Passion Cake - extremely tasty, This was the first time my friend and I had been to Biiru but we will be back. The food experience was amazing!
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing ambiance! We loved everything about this place. Jean Francois Was very attentive and his positive vibe made our night even better! The menu was clear, easy to navigate. The prices are in the normal range considering the good quality. We will definitely go back!
