All the buns were so adorable, I loved the different characters and as nice as they were on the outside they were just as nice on the inside.I walked over to the nearby park and they were a great snack. My companion and I ordered the blueberry red bean bao, the custard bao, and the bbq pork. They were all tasty and it was fun looking at all the varieties that were available.
This little restaurant sells steamed buns (bao), dim sum, savoury dishes, and bubble tea drinks. The attractive items are their cute colourful cartoon-character dessert buns such as a panda (black sesame paste), hedgehog (taro paste), pig (melting chocolate), angry bird (strawberry with melting chocolate), chicken (mango coconut), and more.We ordered the following bao:1. Chicken (Mango Coconut) ($3.00)2. Hedgehog (Taro Paste) ($3.50)3. BBQ Pork ($2.00)They were all delicious and fun to eat. They are a few counter seats but it is mainly a takeout restaurant.During pandemic times, there is plexiglass at the order/checkout counter. Staff wear face masks. There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible (there are 2 steps). There are no customer washrooms. There are paid street parking in the neighbourhood.Review 2022-043If you like my review, please give my review a thumbs up and click on my profile pic (at the top, on a mobile/cell phone), and click on "Follow"). The buns were barely warm, almost cold. The \\\"most delicious buns\\\" were not like the photos. Less ingredients than the photos show. Not well wrapped, the fillings were falling out and the sauce made the bread soggy. Very disappointing.
I always love stopping by this shop to get some of their baos. The doraemon bao is a favorite because it is doraemon ?. Others that I always buy are the buns with chinese sausage and the one with char shui filling. Next time, I will try the other types of dumplings. By the way, the servers here are nice. ?
This is the best bun (bao) place in all of Canada (yes I've tried them all ?).
I was instantly sucked in and had to try these cute looking Bao Buns in the window brought to life with edgy and cute unique character designs. I frequently eat bao Buns, but the #23 Blueberry Red Bean Bao Bun was something else! Super yummy, extremely flavorful and obviously incredible aesthetics. The red Bean was a perfect consistency of not to sweet or savory with a generous portion filling.\\nA fantastically delicious warm doughy treat at great value for money.\\nSupport local businesses!
I really liked this little shop. We went later in the day, so some items were sold out already. The ones that we did get were just as delicious as I thought they would be.\\n\\nMy favorites were the cat with the custard, and the BBQ pork.\\n\\nThe staff was very polite and helpful. Our order was finished promptly and we sat in to eat our baos. I would love to stop here again and try some of their other menu items.
My go to place for a quick chinese bite, the sticky rice in lotus leaf is great
Interesting Baos and Chinese pastries.
Yummy puffy adorable bao both sweet and savoury. My favourite is the curry beef.
