Every meal I’ve ever had here has been memorable. Like actually. Each meal has you talking about it like “hey, remember that meal at PDC?” It’s an exceptional place and a great group of staff. Can’t go wrong.

If you like Foie Gras, this place literally a heaven. I went for dinner 2 days in a row while visiting. The foie gras nigiri practically melt in your mouth. Poutine is also top notch, the gravy is creamy and tasty. I hope they can win Michelin star soon.

The place is great, drink is good and foie gras is fabulous. But the mains Duck in the Can and the other one pork shank is way too salty and oily. Be careful of what you order

Food, cocktails, wine were excellent! Had new items on the menu, razor clam appetizer was superb. Wine suggestion was perfect for our meal. Service was professional and not intrusive. My only critique is that the pork chop could have been cooked a touch more.

We ordered the duck in a can and the mac & cheese. While both were good, the mac & cheese was far better and less expensive. The duck in a can is still good, but more gimmick than culinary genius. I didn't understand the piece of bread they dunk the duck and foie gras on -- maybe it'd be better if the bread was on the side. From other reviews, I'd suggest the poutine instead. For how expensive the meal is, the service was abysmal. Our food took almost an hour to get to us and our server never came to check in or apologize for the delay. We rarely saw her, even when we were ready to pay and go, we couldn't find her despite it not being super busy that night. If you're dead set on trying this place for the foie gras or Anthony Bourdain's recommendation, go for the poutine and the mac&cheese. Otherwise, go elsewhere because the service was not it.

What an experience! Obviously a well known restaurant with a lot of hype but it did not disappoint in the slightest. The foie gras nigiri was one of the best things I have ever eaten. The duck breast was perfectly cooked and the peas were so fresh and flavorful. Would come back here again and again for sure. You won't be disappointed.

Food was fantastic…Foie Gras Poutine was the best, Duck with Morel mushrooms, Roquefort Salad … everything tasted so good…small menu which changes with the season…didn’t have enough room to eat dessert. The service was fantastic, very personable and knowledgeable. This restaurant was recommended by a friend from Montreal and by our tour guide, Mathieu Demers - wonderful suggestions. Would visit again whenever I’m in Montreal, Quebec (Canada).

There are too many good restaurants in Montreal to waste time going to this one. Service was horrible. We were ignored for nearly 15 minutes before I had to flag down a waiter to find our waiter just to get some water. It was an unusually warm 90 degrees in Montreal and the air conditioning was non existent. It must have been 85 degrees in the restaurant. Our waiter seemed uninterested in our table for the entire 2 hours we were there while it was obvious he was more attentive to surrounding tables. I do not know if he was biased against families with young children or because of our ethnicity but he was the worst. A different waiter noticed we were sitting there waiting for the Duck in the can after 80 minutes and told us it would be another ten minutes while our waiter did not care. I ordered the Gin Guay which is a take on a Gin and Tonic and was as weak as a 7up. Food - we ordered the Stracciatella, the Pain Levain, Foie Gras Poutine, and Canard en Conserve (Duck in a can). The asparagus was good and balanced, bread ok, the Poutine had plenty of gravy and decent Foie Gras but could have used triple the amount of fries. Grossly unbalanced. The Duck in a can was a disaster because it took nearly 90 minutes to come out! Some bits were tasty, the duck itself was very tough. Our overall experience was not pleasant. The food was ok overshadowed by the horrible experience. It felt like a glorified tourist trap to us. A restaurant the relies on it's past reputation and reviews and is merely milking it now. Too cheap to hire adequate staff and to even have enough fries in it's highly touted Poutine. We also had dinner at Restaurant Holder and L'Express and they were both far more professional and superior in every way. Don't make this your first or last meal in the city.

To say that it's a rich food experience is an understatement. The Foie Gras Poutine was outstanding , as was the Roquefort salad, Whelks and desserts. The special fried pig's head with stuffed lobster was as delicious as it was decadent. Definitely need 3 people to take it on.The squid ink risotto, unfortunately, was overly salty, soupy and just not good in all three of our opinions. The service was fantastic and definitely made the whole dining experience that much better.

Ten years after a first visit where we only had appetizers due to being too full from a late lunch, I came prepared with a late reservation and was definitely ready for dinner. This time around it was a girls' trip, and my friend and I both loved the poutine. Perfect gravy, nice sizes of foie gras, but we wished thee were more fries to help soak up the gravy! I finally got the Duck in a Can and she got the Seafood Risotto. Yes, I know the Duck in a Can is a gimmick, but still wanted to try it. While it was good, it was very very rich and while I don't think I'd get it again, I'm glad I tried it. One thing we both agreed on - both dishes are best eaten while very hot -- but the richness of each dish makes it hard to do so quickly, which makes it difficult to get the same flavor through the meal. For example, the risotto with an egg yolk mixed in with the briny shrimp? Fantastic on the first few bites -- but got saltier as time went on and it cooled down. My friend actually wished there was more risotto to help cut the saltiness of the shrimp. Same with the duck in a can -- great for the first few bites when piping hot -- but flavor diminished as the dish cooled down, which might have been helped if there were more potatoes or bread or something to soak up some of the juices. My only mild surprise: service was not up to par with what I recall from the last time. Our waitress was okay, but took an incredibly long time to initially take our order, then long times to check in on us. We asked for bread initially, told there was none. After we first received our entrees, asked again, as we saw people clearly getting some...and then she brought it to us literally as we were finishing them up. I get that it was a busy Friday evening, but we were slightly surprised at what seemed to a disconnect between those who took the orders, the kitchen, and those who actually delivered the food. We were also slightly amused by what seemed to be frantic efforts to locate register tape for something like 10 minutes by different folks at one point. Would I come again? Most likely, just for the poutine, and perhaps to try something else on the menu. However, I know the Montreal food scene has exploded since the last time I visited, and so a third visit will probably wait given all the other options now available.
