Overpriced and sub-par. Lasagna was overpowered with cheese. The pizza primavera was missing arugula and had only 2 cherry tomatoes.
Everytime I enter a restaurant I immediately go for the bathroom. Like I say dirty bathroom dirty kitchen. This time the bathroom was clean. It's been over 10 years since i've been in a Pacini. The bread bar (or whatever you wanna call it) had a good variety of bread and 4 choices of butter love to then put on the grill, nature, pesto, tomato and basil and of course garlic butter. I chose the latter and it made a good appetizer to my appetizer. As real appetizer I had to go with the fried calamari as I always do in any restaurant. The calamari had a good crunch on the exterior and very moist inside. The sauce that came with it was nicely seasoned and complimented well the calamari. Even if the calamari was good it felt more on the frozen side than fresh which I thought felt steep at 16,50$. For my entree I had to try the Duck lasagna. The lasagna itself was very rich and I had plenty for later too. The pasta were very well cooked, the arugula fresh and the plate was still steaming when served. The only problem that I could find with the lasagna was that it was very oily. The waitress was very polite and the service was fast. I would recommend and will be coming back.
Our server tonight was great, come back all the time to see if we needed anything , the ambiance was great for my 20month old, kids meal was a steal and our food was very good as well. A
très belle endroit ,personnel accueillant,....
This is the second time we have eaten at a Pacini restaurant. The first time was in Rosemere a few years ago. The service was fantastic and our server went out of her way to help us as we do not speak French very well. The food was delicious and filling. My family ordered the shrimp and arugula risotto, penne calabrese picante, fettuccini alfredo and 2 children's meals. Presentation and quality was great. And, of course, the bread bar is a favorite. It was a perfect last dinner in Montreal on our holiday.
Service was very bad; waitress seemed to be telling us off all the time. Food was bland and extremely expensive. Paid $38 for a steak that was half burned and tasteless... What to say about Pasta Carbonara fiasco... they seem to use lasagna sheets cut in halves?? (WTH???!!) Pasta was served almost cold with the raw yolk of an egg! Nasty, awful, terrible...Iced tea was watered down, I could go on... Stay away from this place, it's the most elegant rip-off in the south shore.
Ordered “Chicken Rosmarino with linguine” and received just a dry chicken breast with a small slice of grilled zucchini. It was not filling at all. A part of the order was missing, I think. Expected better than just a dry piece of chicken for an expensive meal. Not worth the price at all.
Excellent Service
I had a horrible experience Pacini. The server seemed to not enjoy his job. He would never check on us. If we needed something we would have to get his attention. The bill was over 100$ and unfortunately the tip reflected the awful service.
Horrible, the food was bland and disgusting. I had the pasta carbonara and it honestly had 0 taste and dry no sauce. Whoever came up with the menu concept needs to get fired even the presentation was dumb, the egg yolk is supposed to be incorporated with the pasta not served raw on a spoon. Glad I am never going back there or any other pacini restaurant that's left. Either fix your menu concept or close your doors.
