Service is slow, food was average but the reason I give it 2 stars is the pettiness of charging 50 cents for you each bun you order! Seriously? Many better steakhouses in Montréal put this one to shame and don’t insult you charging you for buns on a $120 + bill. This is restaurant pretending to be above average behaving like a sub standard one. Spoke to the “manager” about it and she couldn’t have cared less. Gave me a speech about how in Europe they charge for bread lol! The owner should pick better staff.
During our last visit to Steak Frite Laval, we had a horrible experience. The air conditioning wasn’t working well. It was super hot and uncomfortable. Our steaks were dry and chewy, nobody came to offer me more fries. Unfortunately we will not be going back ever again.
Worse place ever , omg the quality and the portions vs the price is discusting . People !! Stay away from this discusting food .Really one of the worse places to eat in laval .
Service was great, prices are decent but its far from being a "good" steakhouse.
The only reason why my rating is not lower is because the food was decent. Staff is friendly but seemed very unorganized. We got another table order. Waiter would accidentally drop stuff on the floor and leave it there without picking up after themselves. We also had to wait like 15-20 minutes just to get our bill. For a Sunday, half capacity, I would honestly expect better.

I like the simplicity of the menu ( written on the walls), the quality of the meat and the impeccable service. The fact that is a BYOW makes it more compelling for me. It was hard to find a table, so book in advance. Last, but not least: I like the atmosphere & the dim lights.
