Went to this restaurant last night and the food was great! The unfortunate part was the ending! They rushed us out by bringing our bill without us having asked for it, what if we wanted to order something else? Even if there were other customers coming in and you need to free a table, you should have started with all the other tables of people who we found there! I have a theory on why we were the chosen ones to be rushed out but hey that’s cool!

Worst service EVER .. blaming it on « Covid » Is not an excuse! Can’t even tell you who was the waiter except he had black hair serving front portion of the restaurant! Completely ignoring us .. table of 6 … acting like he dosent here us … the service was difficult from the first minutes in and the Fkn 4 hours after !! It was my birthday.,impossible to eat the « fish » he recommended after I tried to order the « seabass » .. I returned the dam fish for the « kitchen »to return the same fish but all cut up … uncooked ? waiter dint give a fly that I ate or not until I requested the bill and started to talk load how horrible the waiter was and how « he «Wasn’t looking even to my face … wellHe looked at me and said « I’m here now «So I gave him my $.50 cents and told him never again I will come !!! Bill came … full .. i was beyond insulted … after 10 minutes.. he came back with a corrected bill .. this was my birthday supper !! Ruin by the Calvi service

1/10 for overall experience!!Went to this resto with friends and family. Blame it on COVID or not, the entire food and restaurant experience was mediocre and poor for the price. The menu is written like a speed trap where Table d'Hôte does not include with main course, the entrée, desert or coffee. You really need to study the menu or you'll end up with a scary bill. The waiter makes you believe you are getting a full meal course, but you're not. It cost over $150 for two salads, two very very mediocre main dishes and one bottle of wine. The Salade du Chef was comprised of leaves and nothing else and I mean NOTHING ELSE! They charge $7.50 for a plain salad. The music was too loud and the outdoor patio was very noisy being on the corner of a busy intersection & boulevard. We asked the owner to turn the music down but he could not be bothered, he was busy on looking at his smartphone. We got two baskets of bread (not warm) with nothing else. We had to ask for butter; no olive oil or balsamic vinaigrette. The waiter through his arms in the air when one customers wanted to return the chicken which appeared uncooked. The desert menu states ....with fruit (avec des petits fruits) and the resto supplied the desert with literally "one (1)" piece of fruit (one strawberry). The food was ultimately not that good and definitely overpriced.The Terrace menu was not explained and that’s the waiter’s job. He was very well tipped in the end notwithstanding his sloppy service and if he had not, given his exasperation when the chicken was returned, he would have certainly thrown his arms up in the air again like a Diva. Customers like to know what they are paying for so take your time and explain the menu and cost scheme the owner has devised as opposed to making it deceitful and then pleading for simplicity over clarity. I have been going to restaurants for 45 years and I have never heard nor seen a customer happy to pay $50 for one mediocre plate as opposed to the Table d’Hôte which normal always includes the salad, desert and coffee for the same amount. As for the salad, please refrain from being coy, there were six salads and they were ALL bland like all the other plates. The Trio Sorbet on the menu clearly described “avec des fruits”, that means with fruit, not one single strawberry sliced into three attached pieces. Gimme a break! The waiter came back with three grapes thrown onto the dish. This is summer in Québec and small fruit are plentiful and cheap, cheap and cheap. Go to Costco if you have to, their prices are cheap just like your restaurant was with food quantity. As for the owner playing on his smartphone and refusing to cater to his customers, well he is getting the review he deserves and yesturday we were his business.
