We came to Montreal to visit my in-laws, who are recent immigrants from Syria, and celebrate my husband’s birthday. I wanted someplace as authentic as possible, as this group is very particular about Syrian cuisine. We ordered the tasting menu, which included: fattoush, hummus, baba ganouj, kibbeh, habret samak, falafel, labneh, moutabal (my favorite) mohamara, cheese burek, yalanji, tabouleh, chicken and meat kabobs. Everything was perfect, with the kibbeh, mohamara and kabobs receiving high marks. For dessert they brought out Ghazal Banat, a shredded halawa with rose water and pistachio ice-cream. Delicious! If we weren’t all so full we would’ve wiped those clean as well. Service was on point; very friendly and attentive. Everyone raved about the experience well into the next day. I would highly recommend this place for those who enjoy Syrian food, it will not disappoint.
Very nice place with good food. Service is great but it can get very loud. The AC as well are wall units so I recommend highly to bring a sweater if going in the summer and wearing something light as I was getting the air directly on me.We didn't feel rush and food came at a good pace. The dessert (ice cream and Arab cotton candy on top) is a must no matter how full you are.
Beroya has excellent Syrian food! I really loved the huge selection of Syrian delicacies they had and the food was delicious. Service was really good as well. It is on the pricey end though, your pockets will hurt.
Very authentic Syrian cuisine, and very affordable! Tasting menu is $50 a person, but instead just chose my own dishes. Must try if you can’t afford Damas!
Delicious and spacious. We took the chef's menu for $50 per person and went home with leftovers! Will definitely come again.
Beroya is one of my best restaurants in Montreal. They have the best Syrian food. Every single dish is tasty and up to standard. The place is clean and the staff are kind and so welcoming. We had “Kevin” who was super nice and great in service. You get full and satisfied from eating appetizers only. The ice cream added a cherry on the cake.Keep it up Beroya and wish you all the best ❤️
My background is from halab so you can trust me when I tell you that the food here is good and authentic, especially the yabrak and fattoush (we sadly didn't try the kibbeh). It was very nostalgic for me and the service was excellent even though the place was very busy. The restaurant is clean, well cared for and has a middle eastern / halabi ambiance that you won't experience anywhere else but halab.I do have some criticism however. While the music being played was amazing and very authentic, it was extremely loud to the point where I had to start yelling for my family to hear me, which kinda hindered our experience there. The restaurant prices are also on the high end for the portions you get, especially for Montreal. I totally understand that this restaurant is trying to be in a different caliber, but if you want to satisfy 4 hungry people, your bill will most likely be in the $200+ range.
A Wonderful experience while we visited Quebec areas in CAN. Kevin is one of the waiters in the restaurant and he was very professional and helpful to advice the customers with selections and drinks pairing. The restaurant also has live music, which enhanced the experience greatly. Highly recommended for anyone whom had or had not tried Middle-eastern food!
We had (iftar) which is fast breaking meal during Ramadan. The food was super delicious and the service was really good. The place was fully booked and tables are close to each other. Reserve in advance when you plan to vist this restaurant.
We had Sunday lunch , the place was fully booked but I was given a table of 4 ! The service was fantastic and fast . Food is delicious there is nothing not to like. Their hot out of oven pita is an extraI would definitely go back as I didn’t have the chance to try all their food ! Waiters are very attentive and polite
