Worst service ever !We understand that some delays could be happening due to the post-pandemic situation. However this was the worst service experienced at Shaker. On March 31, 2022, our group of 6 arrived at your restaurant and promptly notified the waitress "Andrea" that we had a scheduled event following dinner which gave us 2 hours to complete the dinner service. The appetizers took forever to arrive. The waitress was not present at all during service and seemed to be focusing constantly on another table. When our group was ready to leave, we literally had to walk up to the table where our waitress spent most of her time and let her know that we were leaving. We then also reached out to another waitress who somewhat helped us. When came time to pay our bills, it took at least 5 attempts as all machines were having issues; again our waitress had a focus elsewhere. We will not be going to Shaker for quite some time.
The poke bowl was by far the best poke bowl i've ever had. Not only this but the packaging was incredibly well thought out to keep the fish nice and cold. Unfortunately though, the general tso chicken was really not good, the texture of the chicken seemed like it was a frozen chicken nugget tossed in sauce. Either way, will be coming back for the poke
First time here and we both really enjoyed it. We ordered their burgers as pictured and both were cooked perfectly. Juicy, full of flavor and the fries were crispy outside and soft on the inside, mix that with their delicious gravy and you have a perfect pub meal. Ordered a spicey ceasar along side of it. Service was spot on and staff was friendly and welcoming. Prices were very reasonable and the environment was exactly what we wanted to enjoy this meal. Will definitely be back!!
We went there yesterday for Valentine’s Day, we had a reservation for 845 but decided to show up a bit early and luckily we were seated at 830 as it had died down.we had placed an order for two drinks and plate of nachos for appetizer to start the drinks came quick and were amazing. After waiting 45 mins and had already finished our drinks quite some time before we decided to flag down our waiter looking for where our food was. He explained that the kitchen was over whelmed with Uber orders and they were being served first leaving dining in customers as less than a priority. He asked if we wanted more drinks we said yes but sadly we never got them as our waiter ghosted us once again. Never once did he check in on us give us updates of our food nothing if we didn’t flag him down we wouldn’t have even got a second drink order which never showed up. After 1.5 hours after showing up we flagged him down again and said we were leaving he went to the kitchen and came back with something said it wasn’t our order but they threw together a plate of nachos ( which he charged us for) than told us the kitchen was closing and we couldn’t even place our main order anymore :/ if our waiter would have told us that they were over whelmed and Uber was a priority over dining in customers I would have left early and tried to get in somewhere else instead I waited 2 hours and had to eat at McDonald’s.
Place looks good. Menu is slim. cocktail menu is pretty hefty. We had one drink and left High chair with low table = not confortable
The waitress spilled a drink on me and I had to clean up after her. She got two of our orders wrong and the only thing we we compensated with was A single free drink that was already ordered . I will NEVER go back .
Great and our server was truly the best....had a great time..the food was good..reasonable price...will go back again
If you like tartare and poke bowls (even the dessert was awesome!), that's just the best place ever, please try it and you'll see what I'm talking about.
We went to Shaker in Gatineau for lunch it was horrible….the service was not good at all. The burgers where dry and not warm at all. My husband order the Tourtiere with beet side dressing. No dressing no beets and the tourtiere was burnt. My daughter had a Vegan burger it was as horrible as mine dry bun and meat… nothing was fresh. Drinks came at different times with long wait. The orders where mixes up. We go out many times a week and we enjoy great food. This place was by far the worst food service that I ever had. If I could give a negative star I would. It’s cost over $100 for 3 people and is was horrible food. We will never go back
Too noisy can't even talk to my friend sitting right in front of me. I dont know how the group tables were communicating with each other since you had to scream to talk. My vocal chords were aching.We had about 4 waiters come to our table and they kept on switching that i lost track of who was our main waiter. You feel pressured to leave the restaurant after eating although they were closing within an hour kitchen was already closed. We were only two on the table and waiter never once explained to me the menu he only consulted with my friend which was really poor service. Moreover i had to ask my friend to relay the message that the waiter had said to her as he didn't even look at me nor mention the special etc, nothing.Only time he spoke to me was to ask me what I wanted to eat. Other than that I was legit invisible. So rude.
