We were a huge group of 26 for a birthday and I can't thank the team at Alpina enough for doing such an AMAZING job of hosting us. They gave us an entire section of the restaurant, helping me organize the entire thing and catered to every small request. The brunch was a huge success, great food and large portions. The $5 mimosas are a lovely option and really help this restaurant stand out as a wonderful breakfast spot. Most importantly however was the outstanding service. A pretty restaurant with good food but bad service is a huge miss in my books which is why I want to extend the biggest thank you to the staff at Alpina, from the hostess to the servers, for excellent service with a smile and, again, catering to every small request. This place is a hidden gem (right next to Gatineau park, no less) and we will definitely be back!

I usually really enjoy the pizza here but I just got a medium bacon and it tastes like cardboard.. Hopefully this is not how they will be in the future
We were there just a couple minutes before closing. They still acoomodates us and the server we had was very hospitable. Thank you for a great bruch
The food was great, but it was pretty hard listening to the guy in back swearing at one of the waitresses because she brought a chicken sandwich to the wrong person who ordered a chicken sandwich. Wasn't much easier listening to the waitresses talk to each other about how management screws with waitstaff scheduling, leaving them understaffed when it's busy and overstaffed when it's dead.All in all, i don't think i will be recommending this place anymore.
Oct 2021: Portions are really big and more than enough for 2 people.June 2022: the quality and taste of the food is not as good as before . The ketchup tasted like rotten tomatos . The service wasn't that bad . But they forgot to customize our order as we requested . We asked couple times for coffee refill. Not sure if the manager or the chef has been changed .So I changed my score from 4 star to two.
I've enjoyed going to Alpina for several years now. The breakfast menu is great and the staff are always friendly. This should be a better rating, but the last three times I've eaten there the food has been cold when it arrived. Not sure what has changed, because it certainly wasn't a problem before.
What a great find! Stopped by for their evening pizza special, seriously one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten! I can't wait to go back! Look at that cheese!! :)

Another great breakfast at Alpina's! Hubby enjoyed his pancakes with fruit and I had one of my favorites, Le Veggie, a delicious mix of veggies, eggs, cooked to perfection, and their great breakfast potatoes. Waitress checked in frequently and discretely to verify if we needed anything, and, as always great service. Just be sure to bring a sweater, it's an old building and likely difficult to heat. Hot coffee and delicious food does make up for it though. Bon appétit !! With the new Covid-19 restrictions in place, we can no longer dine-in, be sure to support local business owners by ordering take out, they really do give it their all.
