Bad experience. After being seated , it took forever for someone to come to us . They were really slow even when it died down . Didn’t come and ask for water refills , barely checked up on us . Wings were cold , fries were overcooked and they didn’t even offer to remake the poutine , when we asked to speak to the manager he offered to take 5 dollars off our bill . Ridiculous.it’s also funny how the manager nor staff apologized to us and didn’t offer us anything other then 5 dollars off.I’ve been working customer service for 12 years and I know that you can do better to make your customers happy , my fiancé that was there with me is a chef that has been working at fine Italian cuisine for over 19 years even knows how things could have been handled differently . It could be because we’re Spanish and black they didn’t seem to care , they were more focused on all other customers and left us sitting there for so long . I also watched the same thing happen to an Asian party of 3 that were across from us . I see the owner responding to everyone else but not this situation .
Waited 20min before drink order taken. Staff took food orders from people who arrived after us and we had to ask to give our food order. Over an hour for main course. We had to fetch our own cutlery and napkins as staff didn't bother. All this on a Wednesday evening.Terrible customer service.
This is usually one of our favorite spot but last Saturday was honestly a bad experience for us. We decided to go and have a early Mother's day brunch to try and stay away from the craziness of mothers day. We called the restaurant a few days early to ensure our reservation was good and to ask them to share their brunch menu as we couldn't find it online. To our surprise, the menu they shared and the menu that was actually available on site was WAYYYY different and much smaller. The brunch menu was basically maybe 5 dish, one bacon with either eggs, bacon ore sausages and the rest was egg and steak and stuff like that. Too bad for us who were looking forward to have a nice mother's day breakfast. A few of us ended up ordering egg and sausages to find out they were out of sausages. Took FOREVER to get our food (and restaurant was close to empty) and when we got the food all were served but one (the one that ordered the easiest dish). When he got his plate I was 3/4 done mine. Would like to add that his plate had smoked salmon in it.... that was actually COOKED! Who cooks smoked salmon? Thank god our server was great and super nice and apologized on a few occasion for what was going on. Honestly we were there for close to 2 hours for brunch which to me is a way too long for breakfast. Kinda took away from our mothers day time. Again not sure what was going on that day but Milan was not up to its usual standards last Saturday. Will go again but if I get the same kind of treatment, it'll be my last.
Good food, good service and decent prices. Been to this resto on a few occasions and have yet to be disappointed. The only thing i might suggest is to have the music a bit less loud. Minor details in my opinion.Will be going back for sure.
Music was way too loud, difficult to hear people right beside me.Service was okay, better if you are able to speak French, had to ask several times for salt.Menu is too diverse, food could be better if they weren't trying to cook so many different cuisines.
Attended birthday party.. visited Milan for the first time. Great ambiance, good service and food was delicious. Recommend if you’re in the Gatineau area
Had a awesome night at the Milan, the food was amazing. Had the most professional service from our waiter Josh tonight. Everything we needed was given to us in a blink of an eye. Recommend anyone looking for a night out in Gatineau to visit Milan, you will not be dissapointed.
The New-York steak was kinda tough, I've could of done better with a Costco steak on the pan, the vegetables were almost burnt but the smashed potatoes were good. Friendly service and nice decor.
