I ordered 2 vanilla cone onMobile app and went inside for pickup. I saw the lady inside doing coin then she throwing it back in the machine!! After doing it for 5 times i asked her whats the problem and she said the machine was empty so i decided to cancel the order i did not want to take the risk especially 1 of the cones is for my 2 years old son.she said ok but i cannot refund you because you ordered online. You have to call so i checked the app. And it is mentioned they close at 7. I informed her about that and her answer was i don't care. I was really shocked i ve been customer for mcd for 25 years never had such a bad experience. I asked her name and the form to file a complaint , she refused and she said there is no more forms. I took a photo of her but she was covering her face all time but she know she did smth wrong . I will file a complaint to mcd and i advise everyone to never visit this branch
Visited this McDonald's today around 2:30. Was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. As a former employee of McDonald's and manager of a few well known restaurants I could never image treating a customer of a different language with such disrespect. I always train to and go above an beyond to try to understand instead I just got blank stares, eyes rolled and pure attitude like I was being an inconvenience from the young lady with the weave with pink or purple in it. All because I was speaking English? Forgive me last I checked we live in Canada and asking for a big Mac combo with large fries and a root beer I didn't think that would be as complicated as it was. When I then asked for a quarter pounder combo it was like I had come from the mars and some young man who was very polite and respectful finished taking my order. He made sure I had everything while the young lady was still sticking her nose in the air and rolling her eyes. I went to the car to eat my food and the burger was ice cold and tasted old I spit it back into the box. When I went back in to have them remake me a fresh one. The young lady was then again standing there and instead of greeting me she again rolled her eyes and walked right past to the drive thru window when she clearly wasn't working in that area without even acknowledging me or letting anyone else know I was standing there. I excused myself so someone would come and when the manager came to help me she wasn't very pleasant either but with the little french I do know I understood what she said and asked them to make it fresh which I appreciated. When I got back to the car that burger tasted funky aswell the fries were old and the best thing about my meal with the root beer she claimed they didn't have and I wasn't putting myself through another interaction. Never in my life have I ever felt like such a burden as I did today. That young lady needs to appreciate the job she has because if I were her boss she would not be on my clock and the young man that helped me deserves a raise. Sort yourself out McDonald's. You're going down hill fast with this type of customer service.
I spent $13 on a 10 piece nugget meal…. My drink wasn’t even cold or had any ice…. My fries were old and soggy…. And my nuggets smelled like it had chemicals on it plus tasted old. What a waste of money… and this is after waiting 15 mins because the cashier didn’t know what she was doing (maybe a new employee?)Just overall disappointing and a waste of money.
Update:I have been seeing this poster for danoises for years, they never removed it or updated it although the item was discontinued years ago, they even brought it back briefly at one point and it was gone again.What prompted me to update this post this today is because of the sunday in the second poster (which was posted recently btw) is 2$ however at the counter it’s 3.19 $ + tax, this false poster marketing issue has to be reported.Original post:One of rare places that has proper customer service in the fast food industry in Gatineau. The only bad experience I once had at this branch is when I arrived at the drive through order station and waited for over 5 minutes then another car to the other station, and was served before I did so I very politely advised the lady who spoke to me that I was first but instead of acknowledging her mistake which is a honest mistake that can happen, she started shouting at me as if I committed a crime by letting her know, when I was paying I explained the issue to the cashier who sent someone who introduced herself as a supervisor and apologized on her behalf and explained that the person who wronged for no reason might be having a bad . Which is truely a fine example of proper customer service. At Harvey’s down the street People treat customers like they are giving them a favour. At Burger King next door the drive through is almost now almost always if not always closed.
Service was so slow. Took 20 minutes when there were only 2 people ahead of us. The food was good but they forgot lids and, our juice, straws... not great
order took 12min which is longer than other mcdo's, I received the pancake without syrup or utensils, burgers without any sauce given that this place don't offer ketchup or mayo booth, there weren't too many people on place on Monday noon, the quality of the food is good and seems fresh.
I do not recommend this McDonalds. They skipped me in the drive through line, i ordered a coke, there was no ice, I asked for ice they said they didn't have any. I also ordered an ice coffee but miraculously came with ice! I asked for ice on the side, they gave it to me along with an eye roll. Went to drink the coke, it's flat and has chunks of syrup in it. Awful. I understand mistakes happen but they could be handled with respect.
Got home after ordering to go and found a long black hair on top of my burger and wrapped under the box... Tried to call and the phone just rung rung rung for 5 minutes. There's no dine in so not sure what that's about. Not from Gatineau either or I'd drive back. Disappointing, meal wasted.
If I could give 0 stars I would.No time management. menus were not turned on. Recites were empty.Staff has no regard for customers and no concept of what there doing. Waited 45 minutes for an order in a dirty restaurant with a toddler and the order was still Wrong. Then had to go back and start this waiting process again. Staff leaves the cash when you walk up yet they were standing there doing nothing.
Worst McDonald's in Gatineau. You would think that with 11 active staff members behind the counter and one other client inside, they would be able to produce 2 acceptable burgers and NOT forget the sauces for nuggets. Even paid 30c for an extra one. I'm guessing the sprite machine was empty as I am drinking sparkling water. I suggest going to the shawarma across the street.
