The food is definitely good and refined. However if you’re expecting to find any pork in the menu, be informed: there is none. I’ve been to Au Pied de Cochon in Paris and Montreal, and based on this restaurant’s name I thought the menu would serve a variety of pork dishes, but… it doesn’t.
This used to be a decent restaurant years ago but everything about it now is faded. From the unoriginal menu to the sad décor. The food is average at best and the service is inept. I would not recommend this place if you want an authentic French meal. I think it's on its last leg.
Food was unremarkable. Service was excellent.
Very good meal. Very safe and hospitable.
I just got back from Le Pied De Cochon from a meal celebrating my wife's birthday .I have to express my displeasure not only with the meal as presented but mostly by the managements lack of concern about my wife and my observations that the meal was over cooked and cold! We both ordered the rack of lamb. My wife ordered hers medium and mine medium rare. My was pink which is what I expected but my wife's was clearly over cooked. Brown and leather like. What is worse was the total denial by the manger that there was any thing wrong with the preparation of the meal. There was no effort to make things right other than to re heat our meals which only resulted in my meal also being over cooked. I say this as I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years and have always thoroughly enjoyed myself. The worst problem was the total denial by the manager that there was anything wrong and the complete lack of an attempt to make things better. Too bad as this was one our go to restaurants because of it's consistency. Not anymore !!!
Great service .great food
Best fries ever and omelette miummmmmmm
The food is presently a little too ordinary considering the price. I say presently as it used to be better.
Food was excellent so was service until they brought the bill. When I pointed out that that was not my bill, the argument started. I pointed out that we had not ordered desert and certainly not a $100 bottle of wine. This one waitress insisted that we had had that wine and after checking came back to say that we were right we had not had desert but had indeed that wine as it was the only (don't even know the right name) Oyosoo bottle on the wine list. I asked to see the wine list to point out the wine I had ordered. The wine list she brought did not have my wine on it, she then said that was the only list they had and when I said I ordered from another one she brought the other wine list and sure enough here was my Gamay wine at $41. I could forgive the whole situation if these two waitresses hadn't insisted that their bill was OK and that I was wrong for too many minutes. Too bad for the Chef who prepared an excellent meal but I am neve=r going back there. It was supposed to be a special birthday evening for my love and it ended on a negative tone that was unnecessary by incompetent servers. How can you not remember what you served at a table when there are only three tables in the whole restaurant,,,,,,was this done intentionally to put more money in their pockets.....I have to wonder.....one bottle of wine is not enough to make people forget what they ordered.......reallly really disapointing.....it was my husband choice of a restaurant and I feel sad that it turned out this way.
