I absolutely loved going there for super yesterday. There is no parking, you cannot reserve ahead. There was a line up when we got there. But it's worth the wait. I loved the atmosphere. We ate outside. They were parasols over our heads, island music. The waiters were very professional, the food was to die for. It's a little bit expensive, but worth every penny. If you like mexican food. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Lots of different Mexican choices on the menu at a reasonable price. Atmosphere in the courtyard was a perfect setting to talk with your friends, while listening to some music in the background. Restaurant is very busy on Saturdays between 6-7 o’clock. We arrived at 5:30 though and almost immediately got a table. Service was extremely fast.
They have a very nice outdoor dining area. I ordered Burrito and it was very good. The server was very friendly and polite. I will definitely go back to this restaurant.
I'm really impressed. We had a great evening at Bistro Mexicana. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They made us feel "at home" right away. Nice relaxed and casual atmosphere. We'd arrived just 15 minutes before the kitchen closing time. Erick, our server (he was excellent!) suggested what could we order on such a short time. The food was absolutely delicious tasty, nice presentation, generous portions. The Sangria was very good. Prices are reasonable.Definitely I will be back.
Nice quaint restaurant with excellent service. We went on a Thursday which has live music, it added a nice atmosphere. Our server Alex was more then knowledgeable and fast. Loved the food and its reasonably priced, a added bonus were 5$ tequila. Will eagerly go back.
Under the butternut trees. One of my favourite summer patios in old Aylmer, lively, serving authentic Mexican fare alongside satisfying cuisine peasante Québecoise, and featuring ice cold Mexican beer and frozen cocktails. The high spreading branches covering an expansive patio feel like dining under palm trees, creating a cool environment on the hottest days. The young, attractive staff are helpful and welcoming, and weekend evenings often feature a live band. As far as I can tell there are no reservations so first come first served. Minus one star due to the VERY slow kitchen on busy evenings — it seems they are not properly sized for the combination of in-dining and take out orders. If you go at peak hours, be prepared to relax and chug Coronas for 80 minutes while enjoying the music before eating. There could be worse fates.
The food here is delicious and good value. Family friendly place with a massive-huge patio that feels like a lush garden. Wide selection of food and drinks. Service is friendly and quick. Been going here for years and never missing a beat in quality of food or service. Solid recommend
Let me preface this by saying I never write reviews, it’s just not my nature. I have only ever written one review before and that wasn’t about a restaurant. I woke up still feeling upset and decided to write this.My mother in law was in town for the first time and we decided to take her out for a belated Mother’s Day dinner. We arrived at 5:40 and were seated on the patio. We ordered an appetizer and three entree’s.The appetizer shows up 40 minutes later and we were given 12 chips for the 7 layer dip. We had more than half the dip left and we were going to ask for the rest to go when the waitress swooped in and took the plate away without asking if we were done so basically we paid full price for half an appetizer. While we waited the hour and twenty minutes for our entrees to come out the waitress didn’t offer us drinks, and didn’t explain the wait time so we sat there being completely ignored. Around the 1 hour mark she came by while on her way to another table and said “it’s on the grill now, sorry.”There were two tables near us that were seated well after us that had their meals before we did. The food finally came and the one entree was fine. The two taco salads with grilled sirloin were so tough it was difficult and painful to chew.We were also subject to the waitress treating the table right behind us beautifully because one of them was friends with the bartender (they were given free drinks) meanwhile we hadn’t had anything to drink for over an hour while waiting for food. They also ordered chips and dip and were given a mountain of chips. This isn’t the first time we have been out since things have started opening up so we completely understand that places are understaffed and overwhelmed but being completely ignored while you see people around you get treated better is inexcusable. We did treat the waitress respectfully and were never rude or mean, we might have gotten a bit quiet but that was the extent of it. We even still tipped although in complete honesty it was not our usual 20%
Delicious and amazing vibes. I definitely recommend to anyone who wants punchy flavours and an all round wonderful evening out in beautiful Aylmer. Our server Natalie was an absolute sweetheart and I can't believe it took me so long to find this place! Can't wait for patio season =) The chimichanga was so flavourful. Will definitely be back.Thank you!
Nice place. We sat outside for a drink and an appetizer. The patio is great - lots of space, with live music. The service was courteous and friendly. The food was good - it looked like the servings were fairly generous. It took a longer time than expected for our one appetizer to arrive, but that’s alright.
