Very generous portion sizes!

Had dinner with our Thirsty Thursday Gang where we visit different restaurants in the Gatineau and Ottawa region and we must say that this place was outstanding. I had the Petit Canard (the duck out made to perfection) and the plating was incredible. Friends had other items such as the poutine - bang on, Fiesta Tofu Salad was soo tasty and La Tete de Papineau - another winner. Vicky our server was extremely pleasant and helped us with the selection. Way to go Bistro CoqLicorne keep up with the great recipes and amazing service we will definitely be back. Excellent food and service. The place seems popular for the Sunday Brunch as it was packed when I walked in at 12. Thankfully, we'd made reservations.The fish fillet was well cooked with a healthy serving of veggies and potatoes with the poached eggs.If you're looking for a lovely corner fir a brunch date, i highly recommend this converted old house for brunch and a beer.
Original menu, cozy ambiance and vase choice of local beer. Meals were fantastic. They have tapas size and meal size on the same one page menu so make sure ask for the right portion. Also, no English menu but staff is friendly just ask for their recommendation and join the food adventure!! We were there on a Thursday night at 7:30 pm and all tables were full. Good thing we had call for reservation !!
The food in this place is just amazing! Our dishes were served as art and the taste was so delicious. You definitely should give it a try!!!
