Today I ordered a combination plate #4.Food was OK.. when I went to pick up my order, the place looked gutted.The lady I spoke to on the phone said I could sit at the bar, but I didn't feel comfortable doing that.I wonder if the owner is going to reopen for dining in, or just cater to take out.I will not return.
Got some food delivered from Bamboo Restaurant last night. Nothing exotic. Fried rice, hot and sour soup,guy ding. The soup was inedible. It was a dark glutinous mess with no discernible ingredients in it. The guy ding was 75% onions. Not sure if the chef has changed but the quality has taken a nasty dip. So. Don’t waste your money. Go somewhere else.
Ordered the dinner A for two and everything was good except the sweet and sour spare rib. Just terrible. Pretty much just bones and sauce and they didn't even looked like the garlic spare rib. Of course it was the biggest portion of the three dishes. Very disappointed.
Used to be a fantastic place. Went to the buffet a few times and food was most of the time lukewarm. Decided to order from them their combination plates t'was tasty but barely any food comes with it. Lastly I decided to give them another chance, ordered their Shrimp chowmein, I don't think they know what chowmein is, it was just chopsuey with dry bread crumbs. It was very very slimy as well. Had the Singapore noodles, they were fantastic only issue was they had a lot of tiny egg shells in them. Ordered just now their Cantonese chowmein. It was horrible, bland, flavorless and very very slimy. Disappointed.Edit: I went directly to eat there and I havent been there in a good while. They stepped up with the food and service. Very satisfied. Everything was exquisite!Edit #2: prices went waaaaay up, they reduced the quantity a lot of the food and they got rid of the buffet. It’s not the bamboo I grew up with and knew. I understand raising prices during the pandemic but it’s gotten insane, the fact that they reduced a lot of the quantity as well is such a scam. I’ll go elsewhere from now on. Maybe one day they’ll be back to their roots but until then, no thank you.
My Wife and I have been going here for the last 50+ years. I have never been disappointed. I have also celebrated most of my Wedding Anniversaries here.

I was a customer years ago and was extremely excited about being able to return to this restaurant as it was an exceptional place for food. Much to my dismay the people who are running the business since the owner passed away are ruining the best Asian food Aylmer had somehow they raised the prices which is fine but when you reduce the quality and serve burnt food that's 70% less quantity they honestly should be ashamed of themselves. I honestly think they should take pride in the business Peter built and go back to the days of old and successful years. Forget the lottery machines and put effort into making real food over trying to make profits ? thanks
If I could give less than 1 star I would. Spent $60 and we tossed the entire thing after 2 bites. The only thing we kept was the fried rice. The fried rice sucks, but its the only thing that didn't taste like baby vomit. Absolutely disgusting. My expectations were low when the general tao and orange chicken both had white runny sauce, but it tasted worse than it looked. 100% the nastiest thing I've ever put in my mouth, we couldn't even swallow it. The spring rolls sucked too. They were white and undercooked. But the inside was all mush. 0 stars!
We've been here a few times over the years since we live in the area and it's really not that great. Food quality varies and it's not worth the price.
