6 of us decided to go out for my birthday supper on Saturday June 11 & decided to try Riccardo's. Best decision ever. Our waiter Samuel L was very attentive, polite & totally charming! The food was amazing! We ate very well, drank wonderful wine. No complaints from anyone. Will certainly be going back & have absolutely no reservations recommending this restaurant!!
It was my first experience after I read the reviews on this restaurant. I wanted to try home made italian food like I used to eat back in Italy when I was younger. I really enjoyed the food, all the plates we ordered were really good. The only downside, the customer service wasn't the best, the team was welcoming the tables but not everyone. We didn't feel very welcomed.
After many years of passing in front of this West Island institution, I finally decided to go give it a try. We shared eggplant parmigiana and fried calamari appetizers, and seadfood pastas for main dishes. Everything was delicious. I truly regret not trying this family-owned restaurant sooner, and I will most certainly go back to try more of their dishes!
Riccardos have been feeding and providing my family with home made Italian food for over 21 years and is a hidden gem in the West Island. From their calamari to all their veal dishes to chicken and even their pasta everything on their menu is delicious fresh and home made on a daily basis!Marco and Sandra and staff keep up the great work! Our family and everybody knows that for nearly 2 years and the entire restaurant industry has been hit hard with the pandemic we will continue to support and it is pretty shameful that people will have the nerve to leave negative comments on google!Keep up the amazing work everybody!
My family and I have been going to Riccardos for years! The atmosphere that the family owned and operated restaurant creates makes you feel like your home, like one of the family. The food is incredible authentic home made taste like nana made it. (Because She Does) it’s hard to chose a favourite dish but when I want to go big the veal parmigiana, with fettuccine Alfredo is epic. Thanks for all you do guys!
I am compelled to write this as I am sitting in the restaurant. A Fantastic Family Style Restaurant. The staff is welcoming as soon as you walk in, they all take a moment to say hello. Service A1! Food top notch! I am already looking forward to my next visit! Thanks for a perfect dining experience.
Very disappointed with the quality and price of the plates. We paid $17 for an entrée of calamari that was so small we could not even share it as a family of 3. We also paid $17 for 4 shrimp that were tasteless. We had 2 different pizzas that tasted the same, also nothing special for $15 each. After the pandemic it seems that the owners are trying to make money by keeping prices extremely high while bringing the quality down. From now on we will choose a restaurant that will not compromise when it comes to taste.
NO, NO, NO - NEVER Again! We Use To LOVE it - Beyond dissatisfied and disappointed - LAST Time!!Our son waited patiently for Ricardo’s to re-open for pick-up in mid - Jan 2022. FINALLY last Saturday, 15 Jan2022, we ordered. Two pizzas one Caesar Salad, one Calamari and order of shrimp poppers. One pizza was Foccacia Campagnola, the other 1/2 Napolitana 1/2 Classica. This is based on our experience. It's fair, honest and factual.Issues:1. No garlic on Neapolitana, no peppers or pepperoni on classica - we basically got a plain pizza with NO flavor! 15$2. Shrimp poppers consisted of 4 flavorless breaded regular size shrimp 17$3. Calamari- 1/2 portion than usual 17$We tried calling them twice as soon as we opened the calamari and after realizing the pizza was plain and tasteless - we were hoping to have a conversation and see what went wrong. NO answer either time, yet they were still opened! We felt like we took 90$ and put in in the garbage.COVID times are hard on everyone, but that food was absolutely insulting!Moving forward: We will support restaurants that are worthy, care about clients and take pride in their food. The only positive I can honestly write is that they were « nice» when they spoke with us and served us.There are way better places to spend our money on and we are very disappointed with our experience. The food was honestly TASTELESS!
Hands down the best Italian restaurant on the West Island! Recently discovered this gem and tried take out this weekend for my family and I and WOW! Terrific home made Italian food! We had the veal parm with penne Romanoff, calamari, and a very big generous ceaser salad, and I was told the dressing is home made and is hands down the best ceaser salad I’ve had! Marco and Sandra greeted me during the busy hours Saturday night when I was picking up my take out and you can tell the staff and owners really take pride in their restaurant ! We will definitely be back soon and cannot wait to dine in their dinning room! I can just imagine how great it was with take out and can only imagine dinning in! Five stars!!
Great food, great prices and great ppl. It seems that it is all family that works/owns this resto. It’s my go to place. For events or just to enjoy a little night out. Who ever we take there, always returns.
