La Perle gave us dried up chicken strips, spongy mushy vegetables, dried up pork ribs when we paid around $130.00 for a takeout meal that we had ordered. Their response when we called to complain at 8pm was: the takeout is not as good as dining in and that we would need to return 80% of the food in order to be compensated. So, we had to offer our guests and ourselves this horrible dinner since we had no other food prepared that evening. The attitude and lies were unacceptable. I vowed never to go back. I had enjoyed many meals with family, friends and colleagues there... But some good things come to an end.
We go there for special occasions, but one waiter isn’t very nice. He doesn’t look at you, and just makes you feel uncomfortable. But he’s Been there forever. If the food wasn’t so good, I’d never go back...
My husband and I went there for lunch and we were shocked to see the price 25.95 per person. For lunch this is ridiculous and as much as we love the food we refused to eat there…. The price for supper is not better 35.00 per person plus tax and tip is really too much. Very disappointed that they feel they have to raise the price so much. If people would start complaining and stop going they would then drop their prices. Take out for two also went up. We will not be going back.
Group of 6 Ladies Get Together, we all haven’t seen each other in about a month , so we picked Chinese for a change . We ordered all u can eat for a fixed price which comes to about the same if u go “ a la carte “! We started with won ton soup , the broth was very tasty . Then my favourite is peanut butter dumplings ?! Yum Then shrimp Toast followed by Shrimp in black bean sauce and white rice . My friend ordered chicken with cashews and celery . Tea was on the table and filled when emptied . Cookies for dessert . This was a Wednesday night and the place was packed !
Due to covid, we did take out. Obviously, we did not miss out on the excellent peanut butter dumpling. The meals are as good and as warm as if we were dining in.
Ordered take out , chicken wasn't well cooked and the aftermath ended in food poisoning !! For the high price I would expect high quality ! But not at this place. Delivery driver was also very rude
I love peanut butter dumplings and have to say these are the best by far. The sauce is just right and so flavourful. It’s an all you can eat that you order off a menu. All their plates are good. The service is good and staff friendly. You must try the sesame beef, pepper chicken and crispy spinach, and the imperial shrimp, and You definitely must try the dumplings, I have them as an appetizer and then again for dessert...
We always go with 8 to 10 women and sit at a round table. We all love it and have been going for years and have always had good service. We also always go at noon.
We have been dining at this amazing establishment for a couple of decades now...always on point...great variety....food is always fresh & served hot...very professional service...great value..we will be back very soon
It was the third year in a row that the family, grand parents ( I'm the grandpa), parents ( our children) and children ( our grand children), and friends were at La Perle for dinner. Atmosphere was festive, reasonable decorations, mainly balloons. We were a party of 18 - a long table as you can imagine. Food was excellent as usual. Soups: Hot and Sour for the ones who like spicy, and Won ton for others. Apetizers: Hunan Dumplings, spring rolls, shrimp toasts, crispy chicken and banana rolls, bean paste strips with saute sauce, schezuan style salad, shrimps ( I don't eat them), schezuan pepper chicken with crispy spinach ( every one's favourite), general tao chicken, a couple of dishes of pork and beef, mixed chinese vegetables, fried and steamed rice, in dessert fruit salad, and ice cream, and to end the fortune cookies. All dishes with the exception of fruit salad, ice cream and fortune cookies ( which were average ), were excellent as usual. Considering that the place was packed, service was very good.
