I first ordered from here a few years back and had a terrible experience with both the service and food. But I wanted to give this place another try recently because it continues to get decent reviews so I gave them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I caught them on an off day.Unfortunately, the pho broth is the same as I remembered, still very plain, it lacks a lot of those distinctive spice notes that pho requires, and everything else was very mediocre. I will not be giving this restaurant a 3rd chance.
Very disappointed!!! I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, very bad service, food is not good …. We ordered 3 dishes, 15 min wait between serving each one… and the food was horrible …
Low key the Pho Dac Biet tasted great. Very rich broth decent quantity of noodles and meat. Didnt give any hot sauce or hoisin sauce though but did come with a fortune cookie ? and the bag of chop suey and basil looked a bit old but those are minor details. Pricing was competitive with south shore joints
SO disappointed. I wish I had a better review to share but I don’t. I’ve read many good reviews and seen yummy photos of the food on social media, but I’ve been twice now and was disappointed both times. I arrived as the restaurant was opening, the restaurant was dirty, the floor sticky, my table was dirty and so was the bathroom. The restaurant was understaffed. I was the only person in the restaurant and I had to ask for utensils, napkins and a drink. No one came to ask me how my food was and when I asked for a to-go container, one was put on my table for me to pack. The restaurant itself, was far from the photos posted on Instagram, it took me by surprise and I had to pull up their page just to make sure I was at the right place. Unfortunately, I won’t be going back.
I definitely suggest this restaurant to all my friends and to those who love Vietnamese cuisine. The food is fresh and made with love. The owner is very friendly. I feel like I am home. I will be back soon.

You get your standard fare of vietnamese food. I guess it's really up to your taste buds which place you prefer.Restaurant is nicely decorated and decent seating room. Friendly service and food comes quickly.

I've been going to the one in Côte-des-neiges for over 20 years. Same family, same great food!
