We found this place by a recommendation of the local person we met in passing at a nearby parking lot. And BOY did we thank him in our thoughts later! This place is small, but the tastes here are huge. It definitely has significant wait times, because people in the know gravitate there, but the wait was definitely worth it. Everything we had was very delicious and the service was quick and efficient! I only wish they would have disclosed the price of Lobster roll (only listed as Market Price on the menu) when people order it.

Recently had dinner at the Water Prince. We made a reservation thankfully as there was a long line outside for a table. The food and service was awesome.

Loved the cute decor here with all of the license plates but now let's talk about the food. This restaurant served up some incredibly fresh and deliciously prepared seafood. We had the best lobster of our entire trip in this restaurant, it was fresh as can be, succulently sweet and cooked to perfection. Nothing could quite compare. The fish and chips were also quite good and the lobster roll was one of our top 2 faves on the trip. People are always coming in an taking photos of the license plates though so if you are seated along the wall, you may wind up in some photos if you don't mind.

The restaurant is on Water Street and Prince Street by the waterfront. It was very busy during lunch hour but worth the wait! The lobster is by market price and sold in different weight classes (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3). I got the lobster and was very pleased with the freshness. My partner had clams and chips and it was filling for him. The best part of this restaurant is you can buy lobster or seafood to bring onto your flight. The box costs $15 and you can fill up to 15lbs. The salesperson was very patient with my questions regarding the seafood and price inquiry. I highly recommend this restaurant to eat or buying seafood to go!!!

The lobster tasted decent, along with the mussels and scallops. None of the dishes were our favorites vs other restaurants in PEI. Service also felt a bit lacking with us being left without water for a while (without a waiter anywhere nearby to ask), our mains taking a quite a while to come out (45+ minutes after ordering) and our table not being ready at the time of our reservation. In their defense, this was a Friday night and they were busy. Either way, I expected better from a relatively expensive, highly rated restaurant.

We purchased fish and oysters to take home to cook during our visit to PEI. The shop is family owned, has the freshest fish, and are quite accommodating. A really good way to get fresh seafood you cook at your home (provided you know what you are doing). We went twice! The oysters were particularly tasty.

We had the lobster supper, it was delicious ! The potato salad on the side was fantastic as well as the seafood chowder. We ordered the lemon cheesecake for dessert , recommended by our waitress, it was amazing ! The only disappointing thing were the picnic tables outside, very uncomfortable on your back , but the food delicious !

Just finished dinner here and we were 100% (or more!) happy with our meal and experience!!! Scrumptious dinners: we had the lobster dinner and the crab dinner (shared between two people) and it was incredible! The seafood was top notch and served in a timely manner with the right tools to eat it (which I must say: not all places out East do!) Honourable mention to the potato salad: just like my Nan/hubby’s mum would make at home!!! Thank you so much for making our evening, in Charlottetown! Will definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting PEI. (Just be sure to make a reservation well in advance, as they do fill up quickly!)

We weren't sure where to eat in Charlottetown (some places were full by the time we began calling around to make reservations). We feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon Water Prince Corner Shop & Lobster Pound. This spot is part-restaurant, part fish market. Lots of locals enjoying family dinners here (always a good sign). The staff are very friendly. The food is delicious (the seafood chowder is a MUST-try). Highly recommend!

Fresh dishes with warm service. Seems like it’s a spot that locals frequent often based on the friendly conversations. Highly recommend a reservation during busy hours as there is limited seating - we had a half an hour wait during lunch for our group of 6.
