I am always very pleased with the food and service as I had been a regular customer here for many years. So much in fact that I requested our company staff party be here. Today I was treated very rudely and hung up on by the manager. I will not be back for this reason
My wife and I were celebrating my daughters 21st birthday and wanted to take her to a nice restaurant. The service was great - the food not so much. The 1st clue was how quickly the food arrived - less than 10 mins after placing our order. Made me immediately think we were getting reheated rather than fresh entrees. My Panko Chicken was rubbery and pinkish in colour - making me think it was undercooked so I just set it aside after a few bites. The seafood chowder was over salted but had a decent amount of seafood in it. However the biscuit that came with the chowder looked fresh but when I picked it up it was cool and very dense and doughy. Again - maybe undercooked and pulled from the fridge a few minutes before serving. On the plus side my ceasar salad was good as was my daughters sirloin steak and my wife’s seafood topped salad. The sticky date pudding was also awesome. I’m not a picky eater but the bottom line is that for more than $100 food bill (no drinks) I was very disappointed in the quality of the food that we were so looking forward to enjoying. We will not be back.
Good food and nice staff. This is a well run place. NEW EDIT: The menu/food is only good here in the Summer months. Out of season, the quality drops off massively.

The Pilot House was our favorite restaurant during a two week trip throughout the Maritimes. The rustic brick and wood beams provide a homely atmosphere in this upscale pub. The service is very good and attentive. The craft beer and ale selection is excellent as is the reasonably priced food. The Cajun Seafood salad was brimming with large pieces of choice seafood morsels and the Seafood Chowder was among the best we ever had. It can get busy and a reservation may be advisable.
Good atmosphere and great service. We had a dozen oysters, followed by the seafood salad and Parmesan crusted haddock. The haddock was incredible, light and fluffy and the crusting was excellent. We had great servers while sitting at the bar and a great selection of local beers. Would come back!
First app ,calamari, was greasy, chewy and cold. My salad was literally swimming in something I couldn’t identify as dressing. I wanted to say something but the server was no where to be found, plus my partner gets out of sorts when god forbid you should raise any deficiencies with the staff. Nothing in this so-called Cajun salad was Cajun. It was an utter mess. It should have never left the kitchen. The only good thing were the scallops that my partner had on his plate.Our server was finally made aware of how bad my meal was and her reaction was the equivalent of a duh.They should have taken more time off, because obviously their kitchen isn’t up to the task.
