This was the perfect retreat on a hot June afternoon in Charlottetown. I’d read about their vinyl collection and found the experience of leafing through albums recalled a forgotten, now nostalgic sensation of muscle memory. The bartender was very kind and tolerated my Otis Redding selections. If I had it to do again, I’d stick with the Copper Bottom Red, but go with Joan Armitrading for the music.

We enjoyed everything we ordered at Hopyard, and were pleasantly surprised by the prices. There was also quite a large drink selection, which was nice. It would have been nice to be able to sit outside, but we enjoyed the ambience indoors nonetheless.
Service is horrible. Head waitress does not like serving customers. Ordered food and drinks. The head waitress totally blew us off (and at one point rolled her eyes). We were basically “in her way” (she was really keen on talking with other staff as opposed to paying attention to paying customers). Most of the staff hung out at the bar talking to each other ignoring customers
The menu changes every two weeks. Went there twice during my stay for the fantastic vegetarian and gluten-free options. Browse the vinyl and choose something to play. Highly recommend.
They were kind enough to give me the onion rings I ordered (not sure why I was given fries).However, onion rings tasted very oily. Yuck.The dumplings were really good.The chicken burger was good except it tasted very salty. Did someone just dump salt onto it?Lastly, the refills which came much later. My cola tasted like moldy. Not sure if it was ice cubes, glass or the actual cola.The pictures online show well but food was substandard.I really apologize for leaving this review but I was struggling with my meal.Good luck to your business. Being vegetarian I appreciated half of the menu was for vegetarians. The food was very unique and it changes often. I had potato beer which was a new experience and it was delicious!
