On 11 Aug,22, my family visiting PEI stopped for lunch. They chose to sit on deck. The server was a joy. Great with kids and so pleasant. Most patient as folk took time to decide and translate choices from a second language. The restaurant is lucky to have this staff person with them. (Unfortunately they do not remember her name but will not soon forget her smile and welcome.)The food was great. Grandkids loved the burgers and all enjoyed the steak cut fries. My partner was very pleased to see the excellent Libra beer from Upstreet brewing as a choice.
By far the best and biggest portion size of fish and chips I have ever eaten. Service was excellent and atmosphere perfect. Will definitely return on our next visit to Charlottetown.
Fish and chips are amazing and the portions are very generous. One piece of fish filled the entire plate! Nothing was greasy, the batter was so light and crispy and perfectly done. I had a side of mushy peas which were good, but the side curry sauce for fry dipping blew me away with the flavour. True British style food. You won’t be disappointed!
My husband and I ate here and enjoyed the food immensely. Although the menu is not printed with nutritional warnings, our server advised me that GF options were available and which items to avoid. I chose the Chicken Tikka Nachos and the flavour blend was fantastic. My husband had the fish and chips and the 1pc was enormous. The batter was crispy and so were the fries (perfectly). Highly recommend eating here.
So many positive reviews about the korma. Here is another. This place is a go-to anytime I am in Ch’Town. It has a good pub feel and really great service. The menu is what you would expect in an English-style pub and the curries do not disappoint. The lunch version of the chicken korma is what I have posted in the photo. Not too sweet and the naan and jasmine rice are perfect with it. Also, good fries!
When you’ve had your fill of all the amazing seafood in Charlottetown (is that even possible?) head to the Churchill Arms for an amazing curry. Had the madras chicken. Perfect. Just the right amount of heat, tins of tender, juicy chicken and wonderful fluffy basmati. Great service. Super beer selection. And if you still want seafood, my partner had the lobster club and it was terrific!
Good spot for a drink. Very friendly service and classic pub decor. Didn't try the food.
Fantastic little pub. Excellent beer, food and service. Do yourself a favor and go. Well worth the visit. I'll be back for sure. Thanks from an Ottawa tourist.
The staff is friendly, the food is delicious and we had a cozy place to have our lunch on a rainy day.
On my first night in PEI I ate dinner in this pub with friends--fish and chips--great food and service On an occasion later in the week I had lunch with friends--a great meal--Shepherd's Pie--and great service I sat queried my sitting down outside when there were only 7 empty tables !! Poor food--a curry. Server friendly with other guests--aloof with me !!! On my last day I went for lunch on my own. The server less friendly--
