This place is a gem. It was our first time visiting New Orleans Seafood & Steakhouse, and wow, were we impressed! The food is incredible, and everyone's raving reviews about the jambalaya are true. The restaurant itself is pristine, the decor is very chic, and there are fresh flowers everywhere! You can tell that the place is a labour of love for its owners, Mike and his wife. And Mike is simply delightful! He kept coming to our table throughout the night to make sure everything was good and we didn't need anything. Thank you so much for a great evening -- we will surely be back!
This was my first time coming here and it is not going to be my last! The owner Mike is very friendly and attentive. We got the calamari and because he knew we were sharing, he gave it to us on individual plates accompanied by a delicious rolled up salad! The calamari is good, you know it's been deep fried but you can't taste the oil. The jambalaya - HOLY, I don't even know how to describe it. The saying on their menu where "every bite is different and you love it from the 1st bite to the last" - 100% accurate! The first thing I did after finishing as much as I could (which didn't look like much because the portion was huge) was message all my friends to tell them that they HAD to come and try the jambalaya. For dessert, we got the creme caramel, which the closest I can describe it is similar to flan. They also gave us an extra shot of something that tasted like a polar bear (mint chocolate liquor).TL;DR - Excellent customer service, possibly THE BEST jambalaya, amazing experience, definitely add this to your rotation of regular restaurants.
Great food, especially for seafood lovers.Loved the ambiance, decor, music, etc. just as much as the jambalaya we had for dinner. It says it’s for 2 but it was more than enough for 3 of us who shared it. Also ordered some calamari and steak and they’re just as good.We came here on a Wednesday night which wasn’t super busy. That being said, they seemed understaffed as there was only one server for at least 6 tables. It’s a minor complaint though.Highly recommend this place.
Such good food and even better service! We had the crab cakes and Jambalaya for dinner it was really good! The jambalaya is for two people we could’ve fed three with appetizers, so the portion is great! And we had the crème caramel for dessert, very fresh and light! Everyone was so friendly it was a great experience we’ll definitely come back!
great food, great presentation and great service! Definately will visit again!
I have been to many steak houses, and this intimate cozy restaurant is by far my husband and I favourite, it may not be in downtown Toronto with the $$$$$ and the 1-2k reviews, but its by far the best tasting fresh food and excellent customer service. Its a casual warm intimate environment. The owner is amazingly friendly and treats everyone with respect, love and kindness. The staff are also amazing! I highly recommend this place.
The jambalaya has soooooo much seafood and meat! Grouper, crayfish, mussels, sausage, shrimp, and more! It was served in a cast-iron pan that kept it warm throughout our meal.Best jambalaya that I had ever had!
as always great food and great service go hand in hand. t
great food,, excellent service and excellent staff.
Absolutely stunning. Since the start of covid at least my expectations for restaurants has been lowered due to staffing, supply and customer shortages, but New Orleans blows those expectations out of the water. The jambalaya is possibly one of the best meals I have ever had it was like getting blasted by a thousand beautiful flavors perfectly layered one after another. I have to also mention the service, Mike genuinely and I mean genuinely cares about you and the food. There is a perfect harmony that comes from personal level of dining that Mike brings and the beautiful elegant flavors of Maria's cooking. I would recommend this to anyone interested in creole cuisine and I can't wait for my next visit.
