Ordered a few days ago after a very busy day, ordered a family meal the chicken was not good, was disapointed use to be my favourite place to order when we do take out. UPDATE they made it right and it was delicious thank you :)
We're service we were at the take out lobby 4 people looked at us and kept walking And the lady got served us was not very nice .the wait time for the food was ridiculous, way to long plus the lady said "oh I will see how much longer" because I was waiting so long and she comes back looks at me and took a order and said nothing to me then some more time go's by and I finally got my food. I will never be back wanted to try again dumb me
Not quite what they used to be. I ordered a chicken sandwich twice and both times there were bones in the sandwich that I actually bit into and it hurt my teeth. Also, for the price of the food, the portions aren’t good at all. That being said, it still tastes great, has a nice atmosphere and chalet sauce is awesome. Hoping they improve.
Ordered on Dec 24th/ 2021 around 11am for a 3pm delivery which we were told was the last delivery available. We did not receive our food, notification of any kind. Should also note the order was made through the Swiss Chalet app. We clearly are not the only ones this has happened to as seen in another review and God knot how many others who can't be bothered to write a review. Not going to lie, it kinda screwed things over for us as we already had a million things to do than figuring out food last minute dis not go over well at all. Never again!
Best service ever! Food was delicious but my god the service was on point! I purchased the family meal and the manager and staff was so nice and cheerful. Being in lock down we need more customer service like this! Made my day
Did a prepaid, pre-order days in advanced for Xmas Eve, they didnt have my food the day of as they cancelled it bc they decided to close earlier and apparently ran out of chicken so couldnt make my order on the spot...didnt refund me on-site, told me to go home and call headoffice to deal with it.Was not notified at all about order cancellation or closing THREE hours earlier than their hours online.Another customer was outside waiting for his order too so it wasnt just me. The way the store handled it, totally unacceptable.
The staff was great. They were busy so a little extra time waiting for my order not a problem. Good for them for being busy. The issue I have and why the poor review is the portion size has been cut dramatically. The quarter chicken was tiny. And the fries were less than they used to be. The chicken strips were so thin there was basically no chicken in them and they were 1/2 as long as they were. My teens that loved the strips before hated them and didn't even want to finish them they were so bad. I understand cutting sizes to help offset the losses over the last few years. But sacrificing quality is not the way to do it. If the strips were the same quality but smaller we would not have had an issue I can understand. But as it was pretty much shoe leather that is not ok. Still I enjoyed my dinner even if it was smaller. And the staff was great. The issue is from above the resturant.
We can’t really share the experience with food, since we never made it to the table. The waitress and hostess kept telling us to wait a minute , while talking with each other and laughing. So we left, after five minutes , waiting to be seated in an empty restaurant.
Ordered online for 5:30pm pick up, arrive and find out that the online order wasn't received. Proceeded to re-order in person and continued to wait while the staff blamed corporate for the online ordering problems. The chicken came in cardboard boxes that fell apart when we tried to open them. I'd understand if cardboard packaging was used over plastic for environmental reasons, but the amount of plastic wrapped cutlery included was excessive. Will not recommend this location for takeout.
We have been avid fans & supporters for many years. Woodstock location is continually the worst we've ever experienced. The take out is 99% terrible. A couple of weeks ago friends from out of town wanted to treat us. We thought dine in would be better. BIGGEST MISTAKE. Friday night, 5:15pm, restaurant is not busy at all. Our server was very good. We ordered chicken pot pie (it had to be returned 3x before it was hot); 1/4 chicken, festive chicken and chicken wrap. After waiting for approximately 20 minutes our server apologized for the delay and explained they RAN OUT OF CHICKEN. Then after waiting longer, she brought the festive chicken but also informed us that they were now waiting on the potatoes. Our friend was half done by the time our other orders came. None of the orders came at the same time. It was embarrassing, pathetic and we won't be back. Our server kept apologizing bur there was no sign of a manager or any offer to discount let alone comp a meal. This is the most shameful swiss chalet
