Recently (2022) had opportunity to experience the "Chef's Table" at Sixthirtynine. This is were you are seated on bar height chairs at wide table/bar (max 4) that is on edge of the heart of the kitchen. (Yes you can have the fine dining in traditional style as well). It was thoroughly enjoyable from the banter with the chef, sous-chef, "the silent one" lol, the attentive server and so on; to watching all the skilled professionals working together to prepare excellent meals and great care to presentation. Who knew that had only to go to Woodstock for fine gourmet style dining. We were small group of 4 ladies marking big birthday's 50's to 60's and girls trip. It wasn't just a lovely meal but great entertainment and experience. To boot they are very conscious of locally sourcing food, and make many products from scratch themselves. Yes we definitely enjoyed and no, I was not paid to put this post. This is something to try, if you can get a booking. Thank you to the crew!
Absolutely amazing food and service. We found this place by chance and it has 100% become our new favourite restaurant. We can't wait to come back!
The food was simply amazing! We had not been there for a few years, but we were not disappointed. The menu is simple and made from locally sourced foods. The chef absolutely out did himself with the quality and flavour of the food, but also with the presentation. The serving staff was polite and knowledgeable and made every effort to ensure that we had a good time! Highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys quality dinning.This is a small intimate venue; so I strongly recommend making reservations.
One of the best dining experiences you can have in Oxford county. The food is local, fresh and prepared perfectly. We called ahead of time to request vegan meals, they were accommodating and the mealwas delicious! Highly recommend.
Such a great experience, intimate setting and beautiful food. Everything was amazing, loved all the little pallet cleansers. Very friendly staff and the attention to detail is perfect, the food and drinks are made by people who care about what they’re serving, highly recommend!

Had a wonderful dinner last night from the new spring menu. Very relaxing atmosphere while we enjoyed our cocktails & dinner. Great food & great service! The Chocolate Crème Brûlée was amazing!
My partner and I had an amazing night out at Sixthirtynine and as avid foodies, we tried the Chef's Table experience. It did not disappoint - Sam and Josh were excellent Chef hosts, answering our kitchen-specific and cooking questions, and sharing with us a bit about the world of cuisine and their backgrounds. We also had friendly service from Teagan, who was excellent - she checked in just enough and made sure our glasses were always full. Great conversation and friendly service from the whole team.The food was fresh and full of flavour. We enjoyed everything immensely! We had the pulled berkshire pork butterballen and dry aged beef tar-tar for apps (both were excellent) and for mains, the seared rainbow trout and roasted duck breast (again both excellent, the fish was particularly good and had lots of texture in the dish). We would highly recommend the experience and will return again. Thank you for hosting us!
The first thing that you see at Sixthirtynine is the intimate setting. It is a quaint gem located just off of the Woodstock downtown core. There isn't much fine dining in the city, but Sixthirtynine fills the culinary gap.I chose to do the pre-fixed tasting menu for February ($115.00) which I highly recommend. From the first dish (an oyster served with a trout tartar on a rice crispy), you could tell that the chef(s) and put thought into each element. Soup, pate, pork belly, and wagu were all excellent and there was not a single weak dish on the menu.Bouncing between surf, turf, savoury and sweet was an exhilarating journey with elements connecting each dish to support the rotating dishes.The dishes were high end without being intimidating and the servers were more than happy to explain the components of the dish if we were unsure of what we were being served.I will be back again most definately and I look forward to another amazing meal at Sixthirtynine!
This restaurant is the best! I would say in all of Oxford County. Stop looking and enjoy local food at their greatest in SixThirtyNine! The staff is welcoming and very nice. This dining experience will become your new favourite restaurant!
