we had supper here after golfing. the food was excellent and the service was also very good. it is a typical pub with a good selection of beers on tap.
We went back to the Moose for the first time in 5 years since moving away. The place has been renovated/updated. We went to the Moose every weekend for 11 years. We were one of the first customers of this location. When the locaton opened it was as a Pub style restaurant. Dark and British Pub style.We enjoyed the wings and fries. We found the staff to be great. Very little staff change over throughout the years we went there. At one point they made changes to the menu and it seemed like the recipies had changed - the wings lost our favour. On our return visit we found the location had been updated, while still keeping with the British theme the old dark wookd had been removed and the walls updated with lighter colours and designs showing the London Subway routes. The lights were changed, tables and chairs. They still have a large variety of beers on tap. The staff are friendly and the new menu looks great. They have a great selection. We had the wings and poutine. They were great!!! This is a good location to go to on a regular basis. I will be returning here when ever i visit the area. The have plenty of TVs, a pool table and dart boards. It is like a pub with a sports bar. The Firkin Chain is very good. We have dined their Brampton, Richmond Hill, Toronto and Niagara Falls (now gone) locations. Wish they would return to Niagara.
Great spot to get late night drinks on a Sunday. We showed up after 11pm and it was still fairly busy and service was great! Had a couple of beers, good prices and served cold! Only downside was the mosquitoes when we tried to sit outside
I had never heard of a firkin. Reading the menu, I learned it is a term for a 9-gallon barrel or keg of beer. We came here with our daughter and granddaughter after a hockey game. The service was quick, the waitress was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. Good portions, too. Would recommend.
