Placed my order on the app for curb side pickup. Notified them that I had arrived and received a text stating that they were busy and it would be 10 minutes. 20 minutes later I had to go into the restaurant and speak with somebody at the pick up counter. My order was sitting in a warming bag and they handed me my order. No apologies for the mixup. I would have waited forever. If you don’t have the staff for curb side pickup then don’t offer it.Terrible service.My advice - go through the drive thru and sit there until they get you your order.
My third time getting take out from this location and most likely my last. First time was ok, second time was super, however this time was not impressed. First, they were 10-15 minutes late with my order, then when the girl brought it out to me she wasn't extremely friendly at all, and no crutons for the ceasar salad that I ordered, Only good thing about the meal was the fries and cheesecake.
It was so nice to receive my order without a poutine or chalet sauce. Not sure why it is so difficult for this place to get a take out order correct. Don’t bother with this location
Just pickup a phone order - missing extra dipping sauce but shown on receipt. No Biggy, however this is not my first issue with this location - one time ordered regular fries get sweet potato fries (I hate the taste of sweet potatoes), another time pickup desk cant find my order. Always irritating issues. I frequent this location due to its proximity to my home and play the odds (I can't always end up with the short end of the stick) .. I think.The three stars are for the food not the service.
Dropped by last weekend and I must say we had a wonderful experience once again. With the pandemic restriction coming to an end, there were a lot of people dinning out. The servers were friendly and on point, didn't matter how busy the restaurant was, the servers were kind, professional and on point.The menu changed a bit, but I stayed with my Half Rack of Ribs and 1/4 Dark. It did take a little longer than it usually does but given the volume of people that night I understood the reason. But wow, the food was hot and tasty! One of the Manager came to inquire about our evening. She was absolutely wonderful with my kids and made sure they were earing their food. She was also expecting herself and that it was her first. I can't remember her name but I think she will do just fine as mom. Thank you for a wonderful evening for our family. We will definitely visit again soon.
Probably giving 1 star is kind of harsh but as myself work in some kind of service industry, I see everything as black and white. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR MISTAKES OR I WILL LOSE MY CUSTOMERS AND MY REPUTATION.I visited Swiss Chalet @ 3737 Rutherford Road and placed order for 2 half chicken and since there was sign at counter for $1.99 pies, I added one as well.Waited 18 minutes until my order to be ready, finally receied sealed and drove anyway.When arrived at destination, here what came out of sealed package:1. Two 1/2 chickens supposed to be one with fries and other with vegetables, both were with fries.2. Apple pie was not even packed and was missed.Obviously I was not going to drive from North York to Woodbridge to fix this.Now - missing $1.99 item does not make me poor, also eating fries instead of missing vegetables does not kill me, however, this my comment to store manager or whoever runs that circus: IF YOU CANNOT PREPARE ONE SIMPLE ORDER PROPERLY (2 ERRORS IN ONE), THEN PERHAPS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER FIND ANOTHER TYPE OF BUSINESS OR HAVE SOMEONE THERE TO CONTROL WHAT HAPPENS IN KITCHEN, IF ANY.As a customer I will never vist that location or recommend to someone simply because of inaccurate and poor service. There is no reason to bring my business to an establishment when service is below expectations and standards.
We always have a great time at the Swiss Chalet location. Managers did come by our table to check in with was very sweet & courteous. We’ve been served twice by the same server, she has a beautiful rose tattoo I believe on her forearm. Will be returning to this location. Highly recommend the spring rolls, medium chicken wings, quarter chicken & the Shirley temple.
The food was dessert but - had a valid$25 gift card for some reason I couldn't use because there system wasn't working. They should of honoured the gift cad. Terrible service on the management side. The stafF was great. Will not come back here for food. You lost my business at this location. Rutherford and Weston road.
It was my first time visiting this place. I had the new hand-breaded fish and chips. The place was very clean and well-organized with a lot of natural light. The service was great. The portion and price were reasonable. The fish and fries were 4/5. I think they can make a more uniform crust. Coleslaw was 5/5 but the Tartar was 3/5 (mostly Mayonnaise).
Big dissapointment , one piece of my order was missing , all the fries look very poor , people please change the oil more often specially.on weekends , the fries look dark & look like mush potatoes ?my bake potatoe was cold , Swiss Chalet used to be so good , now is declining , with the poor food , we customer try to support you guys , but please management check what is going on sometimes ! We customers paying for our food , I almoast spend $100 is not $ 1 dollar !Thank you. This was a delivery !!! Eating in person probably is different with the food but it should not be any different from when you order for delivery dont you think?
